No matter how much of a schmuck you've been, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy and good new year. Health and happiness and goodness are the real +EV.

Your people make the translation difficult...

    Hannukah
    Hanukah
    Chanukkah
    Channukah
    Hanuka
    Chanuka
    Hannukkah
    Hanukka

    Easier is...

Happy Festival of Lights or more precise...

Happy rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire.

To be fair though, one might argue that December 25th is a reinvention of the Pagan Festival of Saturnalia.
This seems to be a problem for Christians since this is a Roman/Pagan Holiday and the Romans and Jews crucified Christ.
Oddly enough Christians and other Religions, in the Modern Era, have substituted Holy Days for Holidays.
    Irony? Perhaps.
I suppose most drones just enjoy looking at the pretty lights.
Eating Big Meals, Getting Inebriated and Being Merry.
Interesting note... Christian and Jewish Doctrinal Beliefs are against the ideal of Eat, Drink and Be Merry.

Under different circumstances I would comment about your use of +EV, as I don't like your use of it....but in the holiday spirit, it's fine, so I will just say, Thank you Alan. A very Happy Holidays and a healthy New Year to You and everyone else as well.

edit: On second thought....no, not "everyone else". Happy Holidays and healthy New Years to You Alan, but to the group of really bitter angry, folks here who's sole intent it is to make everyone else as miserable as they are....a big Fuck You! (with a red ribbon)

Mickeycrimm, what are you up to for Xmas? On the road?

Xmas and Xmas eve in Vegas there are a lot of Asians in the casinos. I mean there are always a lot of Asians in the casinos (because there are a lot of Asians in the world...lol), but Xmas and Xmas eve, they take over.

Later Christmas day, like mid to late afternoon, things begin to change. First it is the crowds that drive in, mostly from California, with Christmas money burning a hole in their pockets. The day after Christmas all the air travelers, from the Midwest and east coast begin arriving. Lots of Bears, Packers, Wisconsin football, Ohio State, along with Boston, New York and Pittsburgh jackets and hats. And it pretty much stays that way, increasing every day through New Years.

Good analogy KJ. We get the majority of the NorCal crowd driving over the Summit. IF we happen to get some snow and it turns to ice? Gawd, what a mess! I either leave to a warm state for the Holidays or stay home.

But I remember this guy betting $100K on the early line for the Packers over Detroit. They were counting out his money and the machine went blank. Evidently, they changed their mind on accepting the bet. So he bet $30k on Wisconsin. I think they covered by a 1/2 point. Dangdest thing I've seen in a small sports book. I remember because I was the only one in line behind him. I wanted in on some of the early line Packers money. Still won the bet. But paid a higher price the next morning. Damn Packer fans. lol

Christmas to New Year's is a busy week for a slot AP. It's the busiest week in the casinos. And there are a lot of people where the only time they are ever in a casino is between Christmas and New Year's. Novice ploppies if you will. They leave a lot of big fat juicy plays. This year is a little different because Christmas and New Year's fall on a Tuesday. Once Thanksgiving passes by the casinos get real slow leading up to Christmas Day. But this year business started picking up last Friday due to it being a 4 day weekend. I set up in a spot where I have 3 casinos in close proximity to work and virtually no competition from other hustlers.

So what am I doing this Christmas? I'm working.
