We discussed this a couple of years ago. My account cannot book online or even through a regular reservation agent. There is some sort of code attached to it. If I try online the system tells me to call a host. If I call reservations, they say they have to transfer me to a host.
Again, I'm in pretty close contact with my host. Ive had the same host for more than ten years. We talked on the phone just two weeks ago.
By the way... anyone who plays craps at Caesars Palace knows there is a particular high roller Host who caters to the craps high rollers. I ran into him at Suncoast. We chatted. He was playing video poker.
Monet in recent posts about multi carding you've made a lot of sense. In particular you said that using the free play should be only part of your gambling action. I respect that.
I'd like you to weigh in on this $300 free play or gift card question, please.
Do you think I'd be burning my bridges towards future offers if I took one or two of these offers immediately with NO out of pocket play?
Or, do you agree with me that I shouldn't take these offers until I really need the free room nights?
You can probably talk to Caesars and get them to remove that block. There's no reason you should always have to book through a host.

Actually its a good thing that a host takes care of me.
Dan, a question: can you get on the phone 24/7 to get a room, or are you limited to certain hours for calling? (This was also mentioned in that thread a couple of years ago.) I don't know if the system has changed but I was given a special phone number for getting a room 24/7. I think that's part of my "code."
