Yes, forgot to mention earlier not having to pay resort fees. For us, staying some 20-30 nights a year in CET properties that benefit is a very real value.
OK, I can see that. My wife and I are involved in a lot of community service, so we don't travel further than a day or two's journey. I probably would never see the inside of a casino were it not for the fact they're only 45 minutes away.

The good thing with that machine is that it takes out some of the royal variance, which is the biggest source of variance in video poker.

If you play a single play or 3-play machine and don't hit a royal, your expected loss is about $1250 in earning 5000 tiers, even if you run totally average otherwise. This is because the royal makes up about 2% of the payout.

If you just want diamond, you may want to consider other options.

Do you have a high tier card at other properties? They will do status matching. I can direct you to the thread here about that, if you want.

You can also buy the Founders Card for like $495, which will give you automatic Diamond.

Keep in mind you won't have access to the Diamond lounges, but you will have everything else.

Also, FAB posted a link in the Total Rewards forum here to opt in to double (base) tiers, which will get you to 20k if you earn 5000 base tiers in one day. Then you can earn 2500 base tiers on day 2, and have enough for the Diamond lounge for that year.

Personally I don't care much about the Diamond lounges, though.
How much of a bankroll would u recommend for chasing 7star on the 50 play video poker machines in tahoe?

You could lose 20k if you're very unlucky.

What kinda freeplay mailers would I get from doing 5000 points in a day at harrahs tahoe?
    Not very good.

Tahoe is notoriously cheap with their offers for playing those 9/6 machines.

At best you'll get something like $300 offers, but often you'll get less than that.
So....on the multiplay vp in tahoe where u can play from 8-50 hands at a time would the variance be any less playing closer to 8 hands per spin than it would be at the max of 50?

And does the amt of time spent getting ur points affect ur offers or are they strictly based on points earned?

At Ceasars casinos at Tahoe the time spent per se is not a criteria on comps and offers. It is points per day plus which games you are playing. It is all about Average Daily Theoretical (ADT). 9/6 JOB games have low ADT.
