Thread: So much talk about winning. But how much?

I love James Woods, by the way. Good choice --

What I said in your link and what I wrote in this thread about the flush with four-to-the-royal are the same. But you didn't completely explain this on that thread over on LVA. It is saying that since the win is $2500 then I would hold it, and that is not true most of the time. someone like arci would use that to lie even more about you, me, and his mother.

Victor and you and I and others have always been correct about how around 90% of casino patrons have or will be ahead during that particular visit by ANY amount. One additional item I read back in the early 2000's before doing my article on it is, 95% of those same people will leave the casino a loser. Again, exactly what the casino expects and wants their players to do--not leave when ahead.

Thanks. The reason I like him aside from his incredible talent, is because twice--once in 2007 @ Harrah's New Orleans and once in 2008 @ a restaurant in Idaho, groups of people came up to me (with my wife) and asked if I would sign autographs - saying they recognized me as James Woods.

Actually, Rob, the reference to your play on a $100 machine with four to the royal and a dealt flush seems to have gone right over their heads. There was no comment about it. I doubt they came here to actually read it. People who have their minds made up wouldn't take the time or trouble to find out what you said.

They're probably too busy looking up all those impressive sounding words Frank uses in his analogies, extrapolations, and theoretical probabilities.

So I was catching up on reading this and the "other" forum an see references to Kneeland now NOT going to finish and post the eval! The thing is I can not find a post where he says that. I'm unable for some reason to log into my account over "there" so could one of you explain to me how / where the info of Kneeland giving up the project came from? OR maybe you could point to the particular message where he talked about quiting on the project? Thanks.

Oh, an for the record. I FIGURED SO! No surprise that it didn't see the light of day. Just my opinion.

EDITED TO SAY: NEVERMIND. Found it. I didn't think to look for a new thread. Just never saw it in the thread with all the chatter over the last few weeks.

Yes, all that's needed when doing a forum search is look for never-ending threads with my name in them, keep just one eye open for automatic & anal-retentive/obssessed postings by an easily exciteable arcimedes, take notice of a new poster or two who never could scratch that Singer itch under their normal anonymous handles, and finally, keep your pathological lying detector on in order to decipher the truth from the envious critics' BS.

Rob. Wondering what you make of this. If I'm understanding this simple little comment correctly then it supports your 'method' and would kind of fly in the face of the doubters. Am I right? or way off base here.

This seems to be pretty serious empirical data. Unless I'm all wet. Your opinion?

(from videopoker.com and in a thread about the "contest.")

The contests tend to run around 95% return overall. Not bad, considering people tend to deviate from typical strategy more often in contests to go for those big wins.
