I know some pit boss who participates on these forums. They mostly participate to troll. They think it’s funny. Since many APs are so serious and paranoid, they are easy to rattle..
IF you are on a comfortable basis with a pit boss, I would hope you could encourage them to post. Personally, I do not think there needs to be an adversarial relationship between player and pit boss. They have a job to do and we should respect that. We have a job we like to do. If one hand washes the other their is no need for the animosity.

As far as kJ, I don’t see a problem doing what he does, meaning sharing general information about his experiences. You do. That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. Vegas casinos know there are a lot of people like kJ out there. I’ve read Kj’s posts from a casino’s viewpoint and have never seen anything that would help me identify a counter. It’s all very general information. ..
There was a line from Jim Garrison, in the movie JFK. "People only know what they are told." I would add "money is in the eyes of others."

There was nice lady I was playing the other day. I see her and her husband at the store etc etc. I made what seemed to be a lot of money to her. But most AP "pros" would consider it peanuts. She said "wow, I wish I could make that much in a 1/2 hour. It takes me a week." Now, what she doesn't see are the times I get my ass handed to me. Game of people played with cards. I always tip. Win or lose. It's just something I factor in to my cost of doing business.

Sometimes I will stand from behind and watch to get a dealers tendencies. A couple of minutes feels like a couple of hours in that situation. Plus if the person playing is a counter. I'm probably making them nervous as well. I don't see anything positive in attaching a $$$$ to playing experiences in blackjack.

Plus it pisses Mr. Blackhole off something fierce. And I don't blame him.

Simply put. Zee craps in his own Corn Flakes.

I might visit with a pit boss when I see them in a sportsbook. The ones I've talked to are pretty sharp guys and have been around the block a time or two. They know quite a bit about the game of blackjack, although from a different perspective. There is one ole gent that I offered a seat in a packed s-book. Very funny guy. Good handicapper. Enjoyable game. But when it's back to the tables? He hates me.

Why? Because of what the notes say in the damn box. I haven't played that way in nearly a decade after I was told the do's and don'ts from a casino manager after I got the boot. That particular casino no longer offers blackjack. But the damage was done on one fateful day and still remains years later.

I didn't threaten to kill Shack. That's your bullshit. Shooting someone in the ass is not a kill shot. Meanwhile, I'm still pissed about being on his "wall of shame." Who the fuck does he think he is? Now, for assfucks like you and belly, especially belly. That asshole has made numerous veiled threats to me and suggested that we meet up. Meet up for what? Dude is looking for trouble. I don't take that shit lightly. I don't want anything to do with that piece of shit. But if he ever gets in close proximity to me, clearly the aggressor, I will consider myself to be in clear and present danger. I won't quit shooting until I'm out of bullets.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

Bosox, I do sense that you have some pent up frustration in you, since you like to constantly corrrect people. Sometimes I feel like you think your role is to be the school teacher on these forums, always pointing out little inaccuracies in people’s posts, or trying to play “gotcha”. For me, it gets old after a while. You appear to be a very negative person.

When you said “your demented mind”, don’t you think that’s a little over the top? Even if I’m wrong about feeling posting casino experiences is not that big of a deal, don’t you think calling someone “demented” is probably the wrong choose of words? It didn’t really bother me but I found it strange.

Here’s something to think about: People can have different viewpoints on something and that doesn’t make either one of them “demented”.
Bob, I am not concerned in the least about players outing themselves, except for Zee, Ap's are smarter than that. Lets start here with what you wrote above:

"For the most part, the rank and file casino employees don’t make that much."

You seem to brush off that fact, as meaningless, it is not. Subsequently, they cannot allow someone to come into their establishments and grind away on an annual basis while matching and exceeding their own earnings it just gets too personal. What can I say, you must realize that casino managements
do not accept or comprehend that they could possibly have flaws in their systems. Hearing about it will result in rechecking all procedures, and cracking down and enforcing everything that is possibly taken for granted. What could possibly make things worse for them? Reading about it on AP sites that some players are out there making decent money right under their fucken eyes. Embarrassing, to say the least, and is, in fact, rubbing it literally in their face.

Moses talks about using boundaries and respecting the opponent. He is right. No good at all can come from talking about it openly all you are doing is hurting everyone.

You need to have a sit down with KJ. He's been rubbing it in their faces for over 15 years non-stop. Then again I don't even think they could believe the amount of bullshit he printed on these forums.

Yeah, I agree with you. We shouldn’t have an adversely relationship with the casino. I’m pretty social with most casino people. For the most part, I like them. I haven’t found many I don’t dislike, even the ones that have kicked me out. At one caisino where I was kicked out, after I cashed out, I stopped by to talk to the casino guy (he was higher up than a pit boss) and asked him what moves I made to get me kicked out. This was over 10 years ago. I know an AP is never supposed to do this, but I did it. We had a pretty long talk and he gave me some very good advice, which I use to this day. He also promised me he wouldn’t put me in any database, which I thanked him for. I won’t revel what he told me on this forum since this would be reveling too much.

For the most part, I act very naive at the table. I’ve become fluent in ploppism. It’s really a separate language from English or anything that makes sense. Lol. As an AP, I think it’s very important to act like another ploppy. When there is a debate at the table over some play or some stupid belief that makes no sense, I usually enter into the discussion supporting the dumbest opinion. Sometimes I’ll come up with something that is even dumber than what either person is saying and then they will both debate me. These debates can border on shear stupidity. It’s kind of like the movie “Dumb and Dumber”.

I guess this is my warped sense of humor. I like being the dumbest person at the table. I have no problem with everybody making fun of me for some of my supposedly “voodoo” beliefs. I guess that’s why it doesn’t bother me when I’m attacked on one of these forums. For me, it’s like another day at the tables playing bj. Lol

As far pit bosses, I never start a discussion about counters and how casinos kick them out, but when someone at the table does, I play the naive person asking more questions about It. I’ve even questioned if it’s even possible today to really count cards. Since people love to brag about what they do, I’ve got a couple pit bosses who like to tell me stories about all the APs they kick out. I’m always on their side, asking them why they didn’t they take more drastic measures. I’ve even giving them some advice on how they can treat them worse, without them getting into legal trouble.

I don’t want to revel too much here, but their stories are pretty entertaining. It’s interesting to here things from their side. They know I like these stories so they’ll come by my table to tell me about another AP they kicked out last week. Here’s where I need to be careful, since I know some of them participate on these sites.

So yeah, I enjoy the casino experience. I like the pit people. I think most like me, although most think I need to improve my game. I’ve even had some direct me to gambling web sites so I could play a better game. One told me how to count and said it’s not that hard. He told me I should try it sometime. I told him it’s not for me.

I also like the dealers and waitresses. I am a pretty good tipper, which is why most like me. I know everything I do isn’t like a typical AP, but I don’t really do this for the money anyway. It’s a hobby and something I do for fun to get away from my work.

I’ve lately got into sports betting, but I’ve got a long way to go before I’ve got this one mastered. However, I did make some good picks this weekend, probably just lucky. We’ll see.

1.) Play nice - Be nice - work hard. Bosox, pretend you're the dealer for a minute. A guy comes in 2 or 3 times a week and plays at your table for 30 minutes to an hour. He spreads a little over tolerance but not often. You tell a few jokes, talk about the weather, the kids, etc. Win or lose, he thanks you for the game, tips you more than your hourly wage, sometimes double if he wins.

2.) Another guy comes ambling in, plops downs, starts bitching about the casino, the food, the other dealers, whatever. He spreads like a madman. It's hard to gauge his wins or loses. He never tips and you can feel his eyes staring you down because YOU are not giving him good cards. Storms off in a huff when he loses and acts like he's all that when he wins.

I don't know if dealers talk about this stuff during the breaks or not. But if they do, what do you want them saying about you, the player? Quite often, dealers go back and forth from dealer to pit boss. So should a conversation come up about 86ing, which one might you stick up for?

And not willingly - unlike Iceland we didn't get to vote about TARP/Bailouts. And will not get to vote about them in the future. There are robotic cars on the road. Soon there will be a lot more of these robotic cars sharing the road with us - don't worry, we didn't get to vote on that either.
