Thread: ok sportsbetters, who's gonna tackle this one

...boy let me be an AP Pro and have save of that. You don't have a brain in your head or a competitive bone in your body. $500 max bet and you won $20k in one shoe? 40-0? C'mon man. 115k in 5 weeks. Assuming you broke even on minimum bets which is highly unlikely. And $500 is your max? That means you won 230 more max bets hands than you lost in just 5 weeks. Betting less than $500? Then you had to win even more than 230 hands.

Geezous, anyone can figure that out. But I know you'll dance around, threaten kick my ass like you did Coach if I don't believe, and then you won't show. Too late I'm already on my way.

There is a thread about this here:http://tiltforums.com/t/spc-final-odds-are-up/4963
By the way, this isn't the first offering of sportsbetting on pinball for those unaware of this already. I believe a Scandinavian site has offered odds on some of the IFPA championships in recent years past.

How much can one person get down on this?

I'm not sure Axel. I have not used this sportsbook (nor have I ever bet on a pinball event) and am simply quoting the sportsbook link from the thread at Tiltforums.com (which, along with vegascasinotalk, I read daily) shown above. You and/or Redietz may be able to structure a profitable multi-component bet based on the following information:
The winner of this event will probably (95% chance IMHO) come from the following group of players (I guess we'll find out about my prediction on March 9th):
    1. Keith Elwin (also designer of the awesome Stern Iron Maiden pinball)
    2. Raymond Davidson
    3. Karl DeAngelo
    4. Cayle George
    5. Zach Sharpe
    6. Trent Augenstein

It's a good thing these are nice bunch of guys (and mostly well-heeled to begin with) because the prize money in pinball is dwarfed by the amount of money that could be made betting the event (as I mentioned above I don't know how much action the sports book would take from an individual bettor, but whatever it is, the amount won from a maximum composition bet, if the bet wins, is way more than the 1st place prize money from the tourney) . . .

As an example, the top 1st place prize ($USD15,000) of any pinball tournament is at Pinburgh (https://tinyurl.com/y5gsjlbt). Here is an article on the event from a betting perspective (https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/ne...pionship-odds/). The 1st place prize for this March 9th 2019 event (https://sternpinball.com/stern-pro-c...it-2019-final/) is $USD2,500 plus a new Stern pinball (~$6500). I'm sure the sportsbook would take action from an individual which could result in a winning bet much larger than this 1st place prize . . .

Footage of the event will occur in August (http://tiltforums.com/t/so-espn/4969/14) on ESPN's "The Ocho".

No love for last years winner Josh Sharpe? (though Zack is definitely the better player overall)

Also last years 2nd place finisher Colin Urban just picked up a big win at INDISC

Pepe, I guess I need to watch Colin's game more closely - maybe I am just behind the times with these newer players. As for Josh, he is a rock solid player, but, again with this field of ultra-control players, it will tough for him even with his tremendous rule knowledge since these guys have great rule knowledge too plus the ball control techniques at the highest level.

Anyway, if you want a dark horse pool, here it is:
Josh Sharpe,Robert Gagno, Colin Urban, Jim Belsito.

I'm glad I didn't put any money down on this one - I totally choked. Andy Rosa (long time veteran pro from Michigan) won it:
