I’m also a member of a discord for advantage players. I’ve been on in now for a couple months, and have not made one post. I just enjoy reading the posts. And it has some big time APs on it. Three of them have been on GWAE, one multiple times. Very rarely do I see anything relevant about APing discussed on this discord. Just the other day someone made that comment, asking when someone was going to discuss gambling/APing. One guy recently mentioned they had a good evening winning $3K at the bj tables. That was great info and really helped everybody out. Lol

When a good AP opportunity is found, someone just comments they found it but can’t tell anybody about it. That’s really good info too. Is this what you want this site to become?

You say I hijacked this site but haven’t told me how. Is it just because 5 of your buddies don’t like my comments, and can’t handle a viewpoint different than theirs? You should tell them to grow up. That’s what I’d do. I confine my posts to less than 90% of the threads here. Just tell them to stay off the 10% threads I post on or put me on block like Mickey.

Now I don't really know anyone that goes by "jimmy", but if I did and he was an AP, you can bet your ass, he wouldn't be giving anything away just to be a good guy. So nothing to be impressed about. So happens this play, is time specific, and he doesn't have the time to commit right now. Someone is going to burn it out right quickly in all likelihood, so he is throwing me a bone. I did a favor with the ASM product that I acquired last year, that allowed him and his people to do quite well, so he is throwing me a bone. We will see how much time I have and how big a bone it turns out to be. I suspect not very.

My goal here. Entertainment mostly. I have long since given up on this being any kind of forum that is beneficial to anyone. So I troll the trolls when I have nothing better to do. Is that ok with you?

Self employed? If you want to get technical your employer is the casinos. That’s who pays you, and keeps you in your “comfortable living”. How many businesses can claim to do all that? Provide entertainment, jobs and revenue for state and local governments, while supporting people like you. That’s quite a tall order for any business to take on.

Okay, technically you are supported by casinos by extracting money from them. What do you give back to casinos when you extract money from them? Here’s a hint. Nothing. Please do not compare yourself to a fisherman. He/she gives something back (food) to society for the fruits of his/her labor.

I do not “judge” APs, just as I don’t judge those on welfare. I have not moralized about being an AP. This is what you and tableplay are missing. I’ve said all along what APs are doing is legal. What I’ve asked is what value does it bring to other side of the equation? Usually when people make money someone on the other end benefits. Take your fisherman example, when he/she makes money by selling his/her fish, the other party gets something, a good fish meal.

So far nobody has been able to answer me on what someone gets when an AP extracts money from a casino. The only answer I got was from Bosox, who said an AP might make ploppies lose more money, thus helping casinos make more money.

As far as working for yourself, every self-employed person I know has as regimented work schedule as people who work for a company. Again, take your commercial fisherman example. I’ve known some, in fact, a good friend of my dads was a self-employed commercial fisherman on Long Island in New York. I went out with him a couple times on his boat when I was growing up. He woke up everyday at the crack of dawn and headed out to sea casting out his nets. And he didn’t come back till late. It was hard work. He only took off Sundays, and some days during the year for vacation. I’ve known self-employed contractors and restaurant owners too. Same thing, hard workers and regimented work schedules.

If you’re self-employed and don’t work much, you usually won’t make much. To say you can take off whenever and for how long you want simply isn’t true.

As far as stealing from your employee when you’re on the internet this isn’t true either, but what would you know. I think you said you’ve never worked for a company. Most companies allow some time for their employees to make personal calls, run personal errands, etc. Some, like our company, have flexible work hours. I can work pretty much when I want as long as I get my job done. Most weeks I work many more hours than 40 since I enjoy my job and find it challenging. I also travel a lot and I’m free to do what I want when I travel, read books, magazines, listen to music or spend time on the internet. So, no, I’m not stealing from my employer, not even close.

And by the way, in my job I’ve developed products that you use most likely everyday and they make your life more convenient. So you’re welcome even though I know you’d never thank me. Lol

As far as my point, it’s nothing deep. I think it’s a reaction to being on Blackjack Apprenticeship too long. All the newbie young bj pros talk like Kj. They all think they are hotshots working for themselves and taking on the big bad casinos. After a while, this kind of talk drives you crazy. That’s why Zee got kicked off BJA. He confronted this idealistic lifestyle the bj pros claim to live.

They want you to believe they can work a month a year a couple hours a day and have a comfortoable lifestyle. The reality is the life Joe is leading who talked about it on GWAE. He lives on the road in bug invested hotels with no real relationships. Okay, I get it, some APs can make a living without traveling much in casino dense areas like Vegas and Reno.

Bob21, I see that part of your trolling style is to always work another forum member(s) (in this case Bosox and myself) into the mix when answering a post from someone other than that member. As usual, you always make statements that are completely false: Axelwolf answered your question about "what someone gets when an AP extracts money from a casino", and there were earlier answers to this question from other forum members which I believe revolved around the benefits received from people employed in the hospitality industry and at the casino itself.
