Thread: 7* annual trip reimbursement now limited to $900??

  1. #1
i received this "Limited Time Offer" e-mail today:

"Redeem your Seven Stars® Retreat to Las Vegas and stay on or before September 1st to receive $900 in casino play as reimbursement for your airfare.*
    1. Call your Host or the VIP services hotline (877) 7-PLAYER to reserve your room in Las Vegas.
    2. Book your own flight with the airline of your choice.
    3. While at the casino during your stay, visit any Las Vegas Caesars Rewards Center with your airfare receipt and let them know you are on your Seven Stars Retreat. "

    so...?
    --seems to suggest
    1. the airfare reimbursement has been decreased to $900 (I thought it was unchanged from last year at $1100?)
    2. you must travel before 9/1/19 (you used to have until 1/31 the following year)
    3. not clear if you can still get Caesars to book and pay for the trip

Not long ago, I got an e-mail that the 7* program would be the same as last year--apparently it is not?

$1200 is still the airfare reimbursement for 7 star trips. Just checked to be sure on 7 star insider. Although the 7 star program has been significantly watered down the $1200 is still in effect.

I agree with Seemoreroyals that the regular airfare offer on a Seven Stars retreat is still there. Notably, this email only relates to flights to Vegas. As I understand this email, it is to possibly entice players who live near Vegas such as Californians to fly on cheap flights and then pocket the difference between that flight and $900 free play. E.g. pay a flight of $300 and get $900 free play. Do I consider it a worthwhile offer as a Californian? No. I will prefer flying to New Orleans or Atlantic City instead as this email offer leaves $300 value on the table for me.

The past two years, Caesars has given a similar offer for using your annual trip in Vegas. Book your own way there (even if you live there), show the receipt at the TR desk, and collect $900 freeplay or $1200 RCs. Last year, the $1200 RCs weren't stated but I was still given the option when I gave them my flight receipt. I'm *guessing* they'd still give RCs this year, but check with a host (and get it in writing).

I'm more curious about why they moved this offer up in the year. Before, they emailed the last quarter for use in Nov/Dec figuring they wanted to bump up Vegas numbers before year end. With all the talk about stockholders wanting Caesars sold (and Eldorado expressing interest), perhaps they're trying to entice more 7 Stars players to Vegas to increase revenue a bit for a higher sale. (Same reasoning for another recent new offer of $750 RCs for a trip in March/April if you earned 80k tier last year.)

There is a good discussion on this on another boardhttps://www.vegasmessageboard.com/fo...etreat.159838/. Seems like this is a special deal to allow players who live in western US to get $900 in free play even if their airfare is only $200.

if I understand this correctly. Much about this still does not make sense to me.

    Hi Daily:

I believe that CET has not thought this out so you are correct that it "does not make sense."

I gather you are Seven Stars so I think the traditional Retreat is the way to go.

Today's new amended Seven Stars email offer apparently confirming the extra free play up to $900 regardless of cost of flight being less (or 120,000 in Reward Credits):

I guess the "Limited Time Offer" isn't so limited in time. I got this email today below. But this time it did not have the confusing "reimbursement for your airfare" language in point number four which made no sense since it was not really a reimbursement of anything:
