Thread: The beautiful Chinese woman was the icing on the cake.

And she was stunningly beautiful. The Chinese goddess looked deep and hard into my eyes as she said "any markers"? She was the manager who was called over to the cashiers cage when I presented 7 cash vouchers for a total of 5 grand. Had to be one of the top three days I ever had playing in casinos.

I held a $1000 ticket for a quarter Job game. Royal. A $1000 ticket from a $5. Pickem Straight Flush 1 coin. And 5 tickets, $600 each from $1 Pickem 5 coin. All quads hits.

Besides the amazing amount of significant hands I caught in that 8 hour day I got a big kick out of this: I started with $600 cash. When I quit I had all 7 vouchers but I did not have a single dollar left in my pocket. Each cashout I was able to keep and preserve in the exact amount of the hit.

The beginning of your post reminds me of a true story three years ago in Vegas when my wife and I were playing $.25 Double Bonus Deuces Wild in adjoining seats. While it was my birthday, she was the one to hit the Royal.

I turned to my right and stated, "You are more beautiful then you were five minutes ago.". Not pleased, she retorted, "Why do you have to say that to me?. I replied, "I was not talking to you. I was talking to the machine.".

Pete, when you hit that $5. one coin in straight flush, chances are had you made the same $5. bet full coin in on the dollar machine that pay off would have been higher because of not possibly being penalized for playing less than full coin in. Rob, and Alan do you guys advocate playing less than full coin in when penalities are involved?

BoSox, That was shot on a higher machine I can't afford to play full coin. I do that once in a while. 20 hands with the ability to increase the bet if things go good.

    No doubt you are horrified.

    One time with a $200. single coin 20 hands play on a $10. machine I hit a $10,000. Royal.

Can't play that way too much but sometimes you just "take a shot". No regrets.
Added edit: Yes, ON $1. machine 5 coin would have been $200 more. Had I been there and IF it had hit.

Pete did you actually get $5K in cash on the cash out or something like $4200 as the Chinese goddess manager was looking into your eyes?

BoSox, I can't recall. My knees went weak, then I passed out. They stuffed the money in my pants. All crumpled bills.

When I have s good day like that, I like to put $100 in a $5 VP machine and start at 1 credit. If I lose I go to 2 credits and the full 5 credits if I lose again and hope to get two pair or better to get my money back plus 1 credit. If I get two pair earlier at 1or 2 credits and it puts me 1 credit ahead I also start over. Sometimes a flush or full house will hit at 5 credits in just a few hands and put me close to a $100 win and I just cash out. Sometimes I get up to 10 hands this way and once I even hit quads at 5 credits! On a bad day I only lose $100. But like you, I can only afford to play it after I'm up for the day. It can make for a fast $100.

Are you serious? Why would you do this? 1 credit? What if you hit a Royal? I know you are going to say found money or something. Would you really be happy with $1250 when you should have 20 grand? Always play max.

Instead of moving up one credit at a time you should be moving up in denomination, which is easy to do since many higher limit machines are $1, $2, $5 on the same machine. Not playing max credits makes no sense. I am sure you are going to say something about you are only trying to hit a smaller jackpot at the larger limit. It just makes no sense....You are giving away money.

Well, I don't have multi demons at these levels to choose from. And I sometimes get 10 or more hands instead of the 4 at full credits. I treat my $10-$15 free play like this and instead of 8-12 hands many more at 5-20-25¢ and almost always end up with all of it if I play it once thru. I think of this,too- I COULD hit that royal at max credits. Look, I'm just a quarter p!ayer who likes to take a pot shot every now and then. Who knows what could happen

Where I play the quarter JOB are 9/5 I play $2.00 on a 9/6 dollar $1 machine. I still get the $1000 for the Royal and I get paid 9 for full houses and 6 for flushes. Look at the Pay table and tell me why I should play max credits.

Come on, don't be a wise ass. You know I am talking about the standard 250-500-750-1000-4000 pay table. And you also know that slingshot was not talking about your pay table.

Fake 9/6. Just a hair better than 9/5 but not even close to 9/6. But correct, if forced to play this game, min bet.

I don't know what pay tables slingshot is playing. It must have been a oversight on my part. I must have skipped over the post where the pay tables were given. Or the photo of the pay tables like the one I posted. All i know is i would rather play a 98.88% machine then a 98.45% machine. And if i can get more for a full house or for a flush than the other machine I can play more hands with the same bankroll.

Thanks. Only advantage I see is I get more shots at a flush, straight, or full house. Believe it or not, almost all hits to win occur at fu!l credits! I could p!ay for hours. at 25¢ to win $100. And the one time I hit quad J's was at 5/credits I might add it hurts when a flush or straight doesn't fill and when that happens I sometimes cash out if I'm not too far ahead for the day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you one of Robs VP System disciples?

AxleWolf, That's not my quote. But I don't see anything wrong with what Slingshot is saying. It's just conversation.

Oh, you're asking me? Well, I guess so-even tho Rob doesn't think I fully understand his system. Here's the thing. You start out following the system verbatim and some of his concepts like hot/cold cycles, changing machines at appropriate times, card selection by win goals, win/loss limits etc., etc. kinda become apparent and you sorta modify to suit your needs. I've said before- it's flexible enough to use your own common sense. So in that sense- I guess so.
