Thread: Anti gambling, anti casinos

  1. #1
I'm getting a chuckle from the various anti gambling and anti casino comments made here on a casino gambling forum.

I thought it was appropriate to start a separate thread since our absentee forum owner and moderator appears to be only concerned with posting his own sports picks.

I'm surprised that so far no one has put any blame on the organization that once was the biggest gaming operator in the country -- The Church for its bingo games.

I've actually reported on the Church and it's bingo since I started as a TV reporter in 1973. In 1973 I reported that in the US there were more places to play bingo than there were baseball diamonds to play the All American game.

But in recent years (5) it's estimated that Church bingo revenue has been cut in half due to declining attendance, some of which was caused by an aging population of bingo lovers and some of it caused by the explosion of casino gaming nationwide.

    I'm not anti-gambling. I'm a realist.

Ok, terrific Alan. Never miss an opportunity, or just make one up to take a shot at Dan.

So jealous you broke old degenerate.

No clue why he took the “original founder” tag away. Did you threaten to bring legal action against him? Seems to be the MO or you and your best friend.

I asked Dan to remove the tag. There is no way in hell that I want to be held responsible for what this forum has become.

So tell me, how many posts have there been about Moses since he stopped posting here?

For the record, I am NOT anti-casino. I have never been anti-casino. The attacks against casinos have never made any sense to me. Why attack an industry for doing exactly what it’s business model calls for.

The people attacking casinos are the same people who blame McDonald’s for fat peole, blame beer companies for alcoholics, blame tabacoo companies for everything under the sun. Basically, they are constantly blaming some company for doing something wrong.

These people also don’t beleive in personal accountability, and freedom, basically what our country was founded on. For the most part, these people are liberals, and very unhappy in life. They are miserable human beings.

ALL the halls in our East Texas area have closed but one. I took my wife two weeks ago and was BORED outta my mind. For one, all games are on an e!ectronic pad with over 130 faces per game. You SIT and WAIT for the machine to beep and tell you when you've won. They make all their money off pull tabs and you also have to wait while they sell them out and then play the game. B-O-R-i-N-G!!

It's OK to acknowledge personal accountability and freedom, but the flip side is to remember that beer companies, McDonalds, tobacco companies, and casinos wouldn't thrive without human weaknesses. 80-90% of the revenue comes from 10-20% of the customers. It can be argued that such businesses DEPEND on human weaknesses in order to exist, which leads to the ethical questions of how predatory businesses should be dealt with. I'm not going to try to dive deep into this topic; I'm simply making a passive observation.

EDIT: This topic reminds me of some of the principles behind why the Sackler family is facing massive lawsuits related to propagating America's opioid crisis. Personal choice and responsibility vs. using various outlets (drugs, gambling, alcohol, overeating, etc.) to anaesthetize pain from the general difficulties of biological life & whether businesses are predatory when their customers self-destruct while escaping such pain & difficulty through their products.

Ok, I’ll grant you what you’re saying is correct. What can our society, which is based on freedom, do about it? The short answer is nothing, other than make these businesses illegal. This is the ONLY way we can protect the weaker members of our society from the destructive nature of excessive drinking, smoking, fast food, gambling, etc. Anything in excess will usually lead to a person’s downfall one way or another.

The Bahamas have an interesting way of dealing with the problems of casinos. Only tourist (non-Bahamian residences) are allowed to go into a casino. It’s against the law for Bahamian citizens to gamble in a casino. This way the government can collect the revenue from casinos, without them harming its citizens.

The problem is in our country (built on freedom) there is no way to exclude a certain group of people from a casinos. In our country, you can not have a law that allows certain people in a casino and not others. This is why the only solution is to make casinos illegal, and many states and local areas have done just that. I live in a state with a lot of casinos and they have tried to come into my area but they are always voted down by the citizens. I’m proud to be one of them.

That’s why I will never blame the casinos for the byproducts (bankruptcies, crime, etc) that come with casinos. Everybody knows this will happen no matter how many safeguards a community tries to put in place. The group responsible for allowing casinos into our cummunities is our politicians, which is really us since we are self governing.

I think this is why APs struggle with their position. They are the ONLY group of people who make money off a legal business without providing any value to society. Yes, what we are doing is legal, but it’s not contributing anything to society. The argument you’ll see some make that they use the money they make to buy things which helps the economy is the same one liberals use to justify welfare. When the government gives money to people on welfare, these people also spend that money to help economic activity. If that’s all it took to help an economy, then governments should just give all its citizens money and no one would have to work. I think we can all see that won’t work, just look at Greece.

In the movie “Holly Rollers”, a documentary about church going APs, it had a side story of one member who struggled with what he was doing. It wasn’t because he thought gambling was wrong per say...it was because he saw no value in it. He saw that counting cards and winning money provided NO value to society. During the movie, he was constantly looking for verses in the Bible to try to justify his actions...and he obviously couldn’t find any. By the end of the movie, he quite the “church team” because he saw NO value in what he was doing, and he wanted his life to have value. This is the dilemma I think all APs face and one reason most of them are bitter nasty people. They are making money but their life has no value...at least, not from a work standpoint. They are kind of like welfare recipients.

I think this is also why most APs won’t acknowledge the casino’s business model...providing negative EV games for the purpose of entertainment. If they did, then they would be admiting casinos are doing nothing wrong, and that would make APs feel worse about themselves.

Just something to think about. And no, I’m not a casino employee. I’m a part time AP that has spent time thinking about what I do.

That's all brought on by Boob21. He's a goofball that just wants to argue on the internet all day. He's irrelevant and not worth engaging.

What is perceived as me "crying to Dan", about all the attacks and trolling was in fact me expressing my desire that this site be cleaned up so it had a legitimate chance to be a gambling related forum. Dan chose not to go that direction and instead embrace the attacks and trolling. And the site becomes a magnet for other trolls like Bob21. These guys love an unmoderated forum and that is what Dan provides here.

I honestly don't know what is behind Dan's rationale. Maybe he likes the personal attacks and trolling. Maybe he likes the slightly higher traffic that a forum that allows that (at the expense of quality content on topic) gets. Maybe he just doesn't give a shit.

But the end result is inevitable. The site will continue to deteriorate, with fewer and fewer posts on topic and fewer members participating. The legitimate members that have real casino experiences, will stop posting. Seems like that is well underway, with Axelwolf, RS, MaxPen and quite a few others either having stopped or seriously cut back even visiting the site, even Alan. Because it is not just about AP's. It is about Gambling topics. But that is not what we have now. Instead you will have the likes of Bob21, Moses (and his many sockpuppets) and whatever other trolls the site will attract just take over until there are only those 3-4 trolls posting among themselves. I think we are well underway towards that.

If you want to see the future of this site of any unmoderated site, look to ZenZone, where there is one poster, posting to himself or even the final days of that Gamblers Glen forum. I mean these things aren't gambling forums. They are troll forums. And that is what this one is well on it's way to becoming. Such a shame that a decent name like Vegas-Casino-Talk was wasted.

So you don't think forums can survive without KJ the great? You make these tearful farewell speeches. No one even notices you're gone.
Moses gets banned and he was the primary topic for a month thereafter. But you return with all your bragging and telling Dan how to run his forum.

At $2,200 a game he doesn't have to scam a free drink off anyone. You want to bet on your accusations? Of course not, because you would lose. That is what losers do. They talk the talk but can't walk the walk. Moses can do both. KJ thinks Moses is Tater, Bob 21, UCFX, or any troll with the gall to disagree with KJ the great. But yet KJ won't ever back it up. Yes, Moses is a friend of mine and I read his posts at Zen Zone as do many others. That is where the posters KJ considers trolls are coming from.

IF you simply would act as any other poster, then you wouldn't be subject to attacks. But you see it as a contest to prove you're better with all your AP vs anti AP remarks. Are you in charge of something here other than being just another poster? IF so, then you and Dan should say so.

Stop embarrassing yourself Moses. There is not a single person, friend or foe of mine or yours who doesn't know that this UCFX is sockpuppet. A female no less. "Oh he is a good friend of mine". You are seriously sick dude.

What's more, any forum that you go to, ends up worse because you were there. Some you destroy. I feel bad for bigJerr, who started a new blackjack forum last week offering an alternative to Norm's forum. There is great appetite for an alternative to Norm's forum in the blackjack community. And yet, 1 single person has signed up at this new Forum. Moses. And because Moses signed up....there will be no others.

Oh, I shouldn't say that because maybe Bob21 and other members of the troll club, who's only interest on these forums is to troll, might run over and sign up, but No legitimate members of the blackjack community will because Moses is there, despite that appetite. You are poison Moses. Everyone knows you are nuts, knows you are a fraud and wants nothing to do with you.

I mean YOU managed to get banned here, where it is almost impossible to be banned because you are incapable of functioning and acting like a normal human being. So just stay over at the funny farm, ZZ, where you belong, talking yo yourself, you insane (literally) little troll.

And don't bother with the threats. Yeah, yeah, I know, you and your alternative personalities will hop the next freight train to Vegas and kick my ass.

Well, if I'm a parasite....I'm a small parasite on a big parasite. Casinos strip mine the economy. I strip mine the casinos. You don't like it I don't give a fuck. Stop embarrassing yourself KJ. Fact is you are scared to death of Moses. HE calls your bluff and now you won't leave your fantasy world to enter his real world. Moses doesn't need the money he makes from playing blackjack. He accepted the challenge to beat them at their own game. Since that has been accomplished, he could care less about anonymity anymore. KJ claims Moses is homeless? Moses invites anyone to come to his home which is bought and paid for. KJ claims Moses is a homo. Well, anyone who meets me will see KJ is caught in another lie. Bosox claims Moses bets $11 a game. Moses will take you to the casinos he bets and get a printout showing all the games with his standard bet of $2,200. KJ and Bosox claim Moses only plays red chip. Moses will show you he only plays green chip. He will play you for black chip if you like.

BigJerr has visited Moses personally and met with both Moses and Tater. BigJerr asked Moses to join. Otherwise, he wouldn't have even known about blackjacksolutions. BigJerr has confirmed this meeting on his site.

Yes, Dan banned Moses. But you put yourself in his sights with words you will not back up. With false accusations you cannot prove and Moses can. There is no reason to threaten someone who has already proven himself to be a monstrous liar and worthless coward. It's clear whatever is "in" you isn't much.

You're just going to go into another bipolar rant because you can't stand the person that you are in the real world. So you hide in your world of fantasy. Moses has you so filled with hate simply because he held up the mirror and you don't like what you see. So you want no part of Moses?

Let's see how do with me. A woman. Moses won't even argue with me. BTW, Bosox is the one who called me out. He's already called me a Ho and deems himself worthy to sit in judgment of my life. We shall see. Maybe you should ask your attorney friend from the east coast who has been to our home for a visit. We went to dinner at Bully's and then ventured out to Boomtown. Moses and he discussed blackjack the entire afternoon. Ask him if I'm a Ho. Asshole.

Dan, we have some very nice poker rooms in Reno. Moses and I would like to invite you and your family to come anytime. He can try to get you free a room at a nice place. You will be able to verify what I've said is all true. I'm sure Moses would enjoy talking sports betting with you.

Mickey, if you’re going to call casinos parasites then you should call the IRS parasites. Both entities primary purpose is to generate revenue for governments. The IRS is the mandatory tax program, while casinos and lotteries are the government’s voluntary tax program. In case you didn’t notice, Governments need tax revenue to operate.

This is why APs are parasites on the economy. They are attacking the government’s voluntary tax program which is taking revenue away from state and local governments.

Our economy would be better off if all APs would get a real job and go to casinos and play in a negative EV way, like most people. This would contribute more to our state and local governments. APs don’t need to do this because it’s legal to be an AP but no AP should ever think they're doing anything that’s benefiting anybody, including the government.

Good job Bobo, the forum defective, you've outed me to a casino spy, Kj. The reason I have different handles on different sites is to try to stay undetected.

Don’t you know there are casino personnel lurking on this sites? By having different handles, it helps me be less noticeable to the casino lurkers. And I can still get my message across to the APs who learn from my experiences.

Part of being an AP is staying under the radar, and not being detected by casino lurkers. My multiple handles are an advanced form of camouflage. It’s something I will teach when I put together my Boot Camp for APs program. It will be a very advanced program, and I will also have a short course on reading comprehension since this seems to be a weak spot within the AP community.

Well, if I'm a parasite....I'm a small parasite on a big parasite. Casinos strip mine the economy. I strip mine the casinos. You don't like it I don't give a fuck. You are obviously a casino employee. That makes you one of the little parasites that work for the big parasite. We had a long time poster, Mr. V, that finally quit posting. He always described himself as a recreational gambler. But he finally admitted he had a problem. He wants to quit going to casinos. He quit the forum in order to not be influenced by all the gambling talk. That's the entertainment you PARASITES provide. You make a living off of other people's misery. I love taking money from you PARASITES.

Wait a minute Bob. This sounds you are saying the government can manage our money more effeciently than we can ourselves. I thought you didnt like liberalism. The idea that the government should have our money because they will us it better than we will is about as liberal as you can get. Most conservatives and even a large number of otherwise liberals agree that they would prefer to allocate their own money and not have the government do it and that the government is already too big and intrudes into citizens lives too much.

AP - Win money. Buys food, clothes, cars, rent, ect. Provides jobs and stimulates the economy

Goverment - Gets Money. - Huge Pensions, Spy on US citizens while ignoring warnings from flight schools that arab men want to learn to fly but dont need to know how to take off or land, commission $10Mill study of dust mites, fund a recreation of the play Hamlet with a cast of dogs (They really did this google it) Sieze peoples cash through civil asset forfiture with no evidence of a crime, etc, etc, etc

Thanks but I think the less money the government has the better

I agree DGenBen. I think our government takes way too much of our money. I don’t even agree with Social Security. I think we should manage our own money for retirement; it should not be the function of the government.

I’m a conservative and I think money is better in the hands of an individual than the government. The government obviously needs some money to operate.

I was only pointing out what the function of the casino is. It is primarily a voluntary tax program for the government. By removing money from this program (casinos), you’re doing nothing to help the economy or society or the government.

An AP is no different then a welfare recipient. The welfare person gets a check directly from the government for doing nothing, while an AP siphons off money from our government’s voluntary tax centers (casinos) for doing nothing of value for society.

Both the welfare recipient and an AP are NOT doing anything illegal, but they also aren’t doing anything of value, meaning nothing to benefit the economy or society. Yes, they both spend money but it’s really the government’s money or someone else’s money. They haven’t earned the money by doing anything of value for the economy or society.

I can tell you’re struggling to understand that point.
