Thread: Another GWAE Interview

  1. #1
I did another Gambling With An Edge interview yesterday. It's supposed to air April 25th.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

Thanks for the heads up Mickey - I'm looking forward to it.

I covered quite a bit of my gambling history, the advantage plays I was involved in. Also told them what I know of the 10K must hit wars.

Congratulations, mickey. It's great that your expertise is recognized and acknowledged. It's wonderful that the most expert people have vetted you.

I salute your bulldog attitude on this particular site in responding to people lacking in expertise. I don't know why you put yourself through the nonsense, but your patience in dealing with this hostile, disrespectful forum must come from an abiding self-respect and contentment with your own abilities.

Congrats. Looking forward to listening and passing it on to my friends and partners. Those friends and partners have a real appreciation for what you do and how you do it.

Looking forward to listening to it. Hopefully you didn’t give out too much info. Can someone bump this thread or put out a reminder when it gets aired? I’ll surely forget by then. :/

Side question: How did you get “in” to do the GWAE show? Did bob or Richard seek you out? Did you ask? Something else? Is there any rehearsal type thing or is it all on the fly? Seems like there’s gotta be a game-plan going into it where you each have an idea of the subjects you’re going to be going over and discussing during the show.

Dancer contacted me and asked if I would go on again. I agreed. He then fired a series of questions at me trying to pry subjects out of me. I responded then he sent another set of questions which I answered. Then he said he had enough to do the show. I agreed to call them Sunday at 3 PM Pacific Time. I didn't use any notes. I answered all questions spontaneously.

    Mickey, good going.
Last casino visit I saw a woman watching the action on four "Dragon Lanterns" ? slot machines.

When a player left she would move in and play, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes longer. She ran between the machines for several hours. She appeared to accumulate a fistful of cash vouchers. I don't know a single thing about what was going on except to recognize something was happening. I never heard of the term "slot vulture" till this site.
I watched from the vp machines.

The Dragon Lanterns operate similar to Ocean Magic where the Wild "bubbles" rotate up the screen. When a Dragon Lantern symbol lands on one it turns all the symbols around it wild. But that is not the play because it doesn't pay enough. You look for "bubbles" that have "mini," minor," "major" or "bonus" written on them. They have much bigger payoffs when they hit. I call them bubbles for lack of a better word but you'll figure it out.

Great point Mickey. Also, unlike Ocean Magic, the worded bubbles do not have the requirement of being a play only when they occur in the 3rd column (and 3rd, 4th or 5th/below-the-waistline row). For example, if a wild symbol with the word "Grand" written on it located one down from the top of the right-most column lands on a Dragon Lantern symbol at the top of the right-most column after the bet button is pushed, you will be awarded the Grand jackpot.

How confident are you that the regular lanterns are never a play?

What makes it complicated is that you can generate the special lanterns while playing the regular lanterns. (Similar to playing non-column 3 bubbles in OM.)

Okay, they're called lanterns. The line pays just don't pay much so just a lantern or two out there is not worth it in my opinion.

Good job answering their questions but I found that episode to lack any sense of focus or direction. It's like Bob and the other guy are trying to see how boring they can make the show.
FraudJ's word is worth less than the prop cash in Singer's safe...RIP

Agreed - nice job Mickey. BTW I saw one of the 10K Ainsworth crews you were talking about on the podcast. There were two adjacent Ainsworths (not positive but I think they were Action Dragons or some variant with the 10K rather than 5K must hit for the major), and one crew-member took one of them which was near the break-even of $9600 and change and the other (which the other crew member took) was at $9750 give or take. They were speed betting at around $20/spin (it was a blur -didn't want to get too close). I returned the next day (the $9750 had hit while I was still there the night before) and they were both near the reset of $9000 (I have very little idea if they turned a profit, but the $9750 may have been profitable because it hit when I floated by a couple hours later that night). I can't imagine the bank roll these guys have (as you said on the podcast it must be some six-figure shit for the team - maybe mid or high six-figure). It's really risky shit IMHO - the Filipino crew who always took shit too low are disassembled now. I see a few of the members scattered about still here and there but I'm pretty sure the main guy busted out because I saw him looking totally frazzled one night and then never saw him again. This was a guy who was there every fucking day for 12 hours a day for the 7 months I've been working this place - LOL. The remnants of the crew focus on the one and done stuff now as far as can tell - (the Filipino crew is not to be confused with this Ainsworth two-man white guy crew). Anyway I wouldn't touch that shit with a 10 foot pole. The golden age of the one and dones we're in gives me no reason to even think about it.
