I haven't been there in many moons but ate there maybe four or five times and loved the look of the place. It's such a contrast from the screaming mimi of the corridors in Circus-Circus, that stepping inside is a real (and pleasant) shock.

Plus it gives me an excuse to show the film guy the place that Hunter Thompson said the whole world would be like had the Nazis won the war.

That was one of the places where you could use your comps for tipping. Been there many times since CC had good paytables and very generous comps and cash back.

At one time their card system counted down from 20 to zero to earn a point. however, if you pulled your card out once the countdown was at 10 it would credit you with the point thus giving you double points and IIRC 2% cash back+comps. They had various denominations of +EV Aces and Eights VP progressives.

Eventually, they figured out the player's card system programming flaw.
