Not sure what "family style" means. They call it a smorgasbord, but it is what those of us familiar with Vegas call a buffet. A huge buffet with many many selections of food and desserts.
Not sure but I don't think the owners are official "Amish" but they advertise Pennsylvania Dutch food. Huge selection and amazingly fair prices. Farmers market, large gift shop and bakery on premise. Everything Super fresh. Anyone in the area or visiting, I highly recommend a visit.
For me, this is the most convincing evidence it didn’t happen. It makes no sense someone would find this powerful of a play and only milk it for 3 million in five years. Heck, some of the BJA group makes this kind of money playing Hilo (with a 1.5% edge) in a couple years. If you don’t believe me listen to some GWAE podcasts.
It also made no sense that Rob would have made the same amount each year. Since this bug was so easy to find (I mean two retards found it while drunk) you’d have thought he’d have made that much the first year knowing at any time it could go away.
Get real....and get your jealous agenda straight.
I explain how much and why I chose to limit my profiting on this play, and you claim it's too little so I must be fabricating it. Yet if I said I hit the casinos for $3million a year, you'd claim it would be impossible to be able to hide the play for those limits.
I also saw what you said about the $1000 bet. Based on the lack of integrity in your posts, I'll bet you couldn't even go thru one hand right here without flubbing the procedure up, even though I've written it down several times in this thread.
Look Rob, you and I know I didn’t give you this play. I get it. Regardless if I think you did this pay or not, I can tell you’re intelligent. Anybody semi-intelligent should have been able to tell I was joking when I made that post. Now Mickey might have thought I was serious, who knows? Anybody who made a ridiculous proposal like his isn’t too smart. Sorry Mickey. I didn’t mean this as a slam on you, cause I like you, even though you have me on ignore.
Rob, I do think the amount you made per year doesn’t add up. I’d think you’d have tried to make a lot more the first year when you found it. You had to know it’s going away anytime. If that’s the case then most people would have pushed it a lot more the first year. I think that’s a valid point.
I'd be fine with $600,000 a year for 5 years. I think most people would. Those yahoos getting greedy is what killed the goose.
Unowme, you’re looking at it as a “Monday morning quarterback”. Assuming Rob’s story is correct, he had no idea when this play would end. Remember good ‘ol retards, Nestor and Kane, found it while pushing buttons drunk. That means this play could have ended anytime, and Rob had to know that, assuming his story is true.
Most people knowing this play could end at anytime would be more aggressive the first year. They wouldn’t have made $600,000/yr with a play this strong. What if the retards got lucky four years early? This means Rob would have only made $600,000, instead of 3 million.
Bottom line is I think most people who found a play like this (and had no moral compass) would have done more to exploit it the first year.
When something like this appears that you don't find everyday, surrounded by unknowns and uncertainties, a wise person formulates a very effective, efficient, safe and non-greedy plan. Jumping all over it is the best way to kill it and you. Kane and friend got caught up in the "play it big Now because it may be gone tomorrow" trap and look where it got them. I was humming along in my 6th year while they were going down.
Plays like this one require intelligence and a whole lotta discipline. I was the right guy for the job.
Rob, there is huge difference with what you claimed you did and what Kane and Nestor did. Please reread the wire.com article. These bozos just camped out and hit the jackpot like 7 times straight without leaving the casino. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know this is going to set off alarm bells.
You said you won one jackpot every month, or something like that, at one casino.
It’s easy to see how you could have won much more and still NOT got caught. Yes, you shouldn’t get greedy at the same casino in the same city and state. But these machines were in every state in the nation. You had a lot of opportunities.
And you had to know this play could end anytime. I mean two bozos happened upon it that even you agree weren’t smart. I’m shocked it continued for so long before these two bozos happened upon it.
Singer is a laughing stock
I'm eagerly awaiting someone to take this $1000 off me. Except, all obvious lying idiots are disqualfied. The lying idiots know who they are. Only the serious need apply.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
I somewhat disagree with this. One may not want to push it too hard for various reasons. There was no way to really know if this was totally legal, even if they thought it was, you never really know on something like this. Pushing too hard might get you caught sooner by drawing attention to yourself the more you do it the better chance you have of being caught. Personally I think I wouldn't play for any hand-pays. I would put in lots of legit shill play. I would just make a few thousand per location per day targeting between $5,000 and $10,000 per day. I would probably make a deal with a very select few people who I 100% trust and then split up to diffrent states.
I have a question for you Rob. What were you doing with the money as you were earning it?
That is not it for me. Trying to put myself in this situation, I think the immediate tendency would be to overplay it, thinking the "flaw" would not last long and wanting to take advantage of it. As time went on, maybe a month or so, I think I would kick into long-term mentality and want to "milk" this play for as long as possible and/or at least not do anything that might lead to a premature end. This would require strong discipline, but it is my approach in blackjack, so I don't think I would have a problem. And if it turns out Rob's claim is true and that is the approach he took, I give him credit for that. So the amount 'earned' or won is not a red flag for me.
As I have stated the red flag for me has to do with Rob's credibility. And that ties in to his so-called Singer VP play. Mickey made a post distinguishing between Rob's double up claim, his 'Singer VP play" claims and his internet trolling of decades. While I agree with mickey that these are all distinct things, they all go towards forming one's credibility and that is what this continues to come down to for me.
For example, Rob's VP system claims continue to be preposterous. So after he made this double up claim, if he had come back and said, "that is why I made up the whole Singer VP play claims which obviously go against the math. I needed to distract and reflect", it would have actually added credibility to his double up claim for me. But instead he doubled down on something....his Singer VP play claim, even afterwards and that works exactly the opposite way for me. Continues to build his non-credibility.
Furthermore several statements Rob has made, even in recent days, just don't add up to me. Here is one from just yesterday. He said something like "he was prepared that some members wouldn't believe him". Really? He was prepared for this? He should have been. But if he was prepared for this all he had to do was keep and make available some of the supporting documentation. While I am not one who demands that of anyone on a forum, in this case it would have ended any and all discussion. Instead.....he did the complete opposite, claims he got rid of all supporting documentation. Does that sound like someone "prepared" to support there claim?
I honestly have nothing against Rob. If he found an executed this play...good for him. I have stated I would not have been comfortable with it from a right and wrong standpoint. But if he is fine. Honestly, I am in favor of players that beat casinos. I am not envious of players that do so for larger amounts than me, because I don't consider myself competing with anyone but myself. So anyone trying to say this is about hate or envy/jealousy for me, it really is just not true. It is about credibility and I just don't find Rob credible based on what he has said, and so far he has shown nothing to influence me otherwise.
I saved the majority of it in cash, in a floor safe I had put in after about a year of the play that would have been found by no one. I was nervous about it at first, but after a while it became routine and easy. Drive overnight to anywhere in Nevada, earn at least $10,000, then drive home. If my avg. win/week was over $10k at any time because of large hits I'd take X no. of weeks off until the avg. got back down to $10k. I spent a little here and there I guess, but nothing big ticket until I bought the RV and a few homes in the early 2010's.
Contrary to other opinions here, after a while I had no reason to expect the play to end. I knew some machines wouldn't work, and after a short time it was apparent only the newest machines had this. And no matter what style new Game Kings came out, they all had it. It was astonishing.
Was I surprised that others hadn't discovered this? Never. It took a serious veteran vp addict in a drunken stupor to find it by accident. Other serious vp players like yourself, your team, Dancer etc. etc., unless they set out and spent a few years like I did looking for something in gobs of spare time hours, no one would have ever found it. It's just way too strange a sequence. I mean, who puts a bill in during the middle of a hand and before you get your credits paid? Only a drunk.
You claim to have found it. Are you calling yourself a drunk? (that is a joke)
But on a serious note, I believe I read 5 different accounts of the Nestor/kain play. 5 different articles. Beside the one commonly referenced, I came across 2 more just looking on the internet and then Mission146 linked to 2 more. Going by memory, It seems like at least one, maybe 2 indicated that authorities suspected one or maybe both of two programmers played an intentional role in this. I believe both were let go but neither charged with anything. You can be sure authorities looked at not only their financial records but probably relatives looking for unexplained windfalls and I guess found nothing.
But that doesn't mean there wasn't some accomplice. I don't think Nestor/kain, I am sure that was checked thoroughly for any connection. But IF (please note the if) one or both of these guys programmed this intentionally, you can be sure there was a reason. Authorities just didn't find it or the connection.
So I would think that someone else stumbling on to this would NOT think they are the only one to know about this and would assume one way or another this would come to an end. Isn't there a saying "all good things come to an end" or something along those lines.
