Thanks Monet, great scene. I vaguely remember that golf hustle as being part of the portfolio of the famous con man Titanic Thompson (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanic_Thompson) who did all sorts of amazing hand-eye coordination hustles in addition to golf, such as pool and so on.

It's funny how many people live on the grift and away from the public eye who are better than professionals.
I also find it odd that they never mentioned Titanic in all the Ben Hogan movies or documentaries that I watched or at least I don't recall him being mentioned.
Titanic probably didn't care about the recognition as he was like Bert Gordon.
All he cares about is the money!
