If it ends up getting made, I am in for Twilight of the Mall Rats:
    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11674246/
I rewatched Mallrats a few months back.
It seemed so much better of a movie when I was in my 20's.
Anyways, I read that Disney gonna make another Woke Star Wars Trilogy with that girl Jedi.
    I didn't watch 7, 8 or 9 so I highly doubt I watch these three.
And Mark Hamill went insane with his TDS, lol.
Great point. I won't be watching any of the new Star Wars Trilogy movies either. Disney has made a ruin of many franchises. The same thing happened with the Marvel Comics movies - totally ruined.

    Sort of a Noir.
I've watched it 3 or 4 times in the last 10 years.
Better than his Napoleon or Joker Movies.
I saw this movie last night. I agree that it was pretty good. 2014 was pre-pizzagate and they may not have anticipated the awareness that post-2016 viewers would have after the Podesta Wikileak that occurred in 2016 when they put in all the pizza symbolism - Hollywood may not have allowed the pizza scenes to get through the final edits if this movie had been made after the Podesta scandal. They got the cult-infested landscape of Southern California on point and the hippy vibe the movie conveyed for that time period was decent (except that back then I doubt you had 10/10 women running around all over the place - even in Socal). Enough of the humor throughout the movie was good enough also.

    Didn't need to see that.
Edgar Allen Poe scenes get a little long winded.
I enjoyed some of the winter scenery.
Story was good enough to keep me interested for the duration.
Had an Ichabod Crane feel to it.
Better than that Contract Killer Movie I posted about.
I'm missing a step or maybe a step and a half because I didn't realize Christian Bale (Augustus Landor) was behind it all until it was spoon fed to me at the end. They got it right about the wealthy - most of them are Satanic Cunts. Thanks again for the reco.

They didn't really give you any clues to the twist.
They got long winded explaining the whole thing lol.
    Better ending if he jumped.
They kind of left it up to interpretation but it looked like he didn't jump at the end.
    Just released the ribbon.
    Decent movie.
    I didn't need the Satanism.

Ditto, but the Hollywood cunts are always going to make sure and shove it down our throats.

I found The Pale Blue Eye fascinating for its atmospheric winter landscapes and its attempt to blend historical drama with mystery, but I agree the satanic ritual felt unnecessary and out of place. It would've been stronger if the focus stayed on Poe and the investigation rather than veering into that territory. As for Christian Bale's character, the twist was well-executed, but it could have been even more impactful with subtle clues planted earlier for a sharper aha! moment.

On a different note, I recently rewatched Inherent Vice. While the story can feel convoluted, I love how it captures the chaotic essence of Southern California in the '70s. Anyone else find themselves comparing it to The Big Lebowski in terms of vibe?

Large Language Models are rather regurgitative.

My choice for best picture Oscar
I know it won't win bit I think it should
I just sat there stunned by the brutality of the final scene

    Bad Santa 2 review:
Yesterday night, I watched Bad Santa 2 (2016) on television. It wasn't anywhere near as good as the original Bad Santa (2003). The raunchy humor just wasn't as well implemented as that of the original. It just seemed like a money grab that took advantage of the success of the first film. For diehard fans of the original movie, I suppose this film would deserve a watch for continuity purposes, but, overall, this is a mediocre film at best.

Please disregard this post if you have already seen this movie.

    Thanks, buddy!
I was pretty disappointed in the first one after they hyped me up, with the ads.
