I downloaded the new Adam Sandler movie Hustle and will let you know how it is after I watch it.

Boron update:It's best to take these capsules with a meal as they do bother the stomach in some persons such as myself. So far I haven't noticed it helping my shoulder tendonitis a lot yet, but will update accordingly.
    Thanks for the update.
We forgot to mention the 10 cent shuffle board bowling game in the bar near the end of the movie.
I'm pretty sure I played that version.

I used to love Adam Sandler.
Unfortunately his movies retorted back to his first movie Going Overboard which was pretty bad.
After he made that incest movie it has pretty much been all downhill as far as quality for him.
Since they gave him 500 Million Dollars to make 4 movies I just think he didn't care about the content.
They paid him so why should he care lol.
As far as Hustle goes it looks like woke garbage to me.
I can't see myself watching it or making it all the way through.
I don't believe, he being Jewish, would marry Queen Latifah or any other black woman.
Therefore, he put her in the movie for clicks and she is a friend of his.
Same goes for Salma Hayek but I can overlook that.
The white/black marriages in current commercials is amazing.
I swear its every commercial these days.
    White/Asian makes far more sense.

I didn't realize it had woke shit in it Monet, thanks for letting me know. I just read the headline on putlocker which said he was a down and out basketball talent scout who made a big talent discovery outside the States. I figured it was going to be like that one where Brandon Fraser was a mega-pitcher/hitter in baseball (The Scout) and that down and out scout managed to recruit him from the Mexican bush league he was in. Oh well. I don't think I am going to watch it then.
edit:Anyway, at least Margot really put her tits to work in that zoot suit.

You should watch Hustle and let us know what you think.
I kinda gave up on Sandler around the same time I gave up on the NBA.
I watched Uncut Gems but I found it to be forgettable.

Well, it's already downloaded. I would just need to put it on the usb stick. Here's taking it for the team then.

It's all part of the fight for truth and justice.

    LOL - very good sir.

I'm still researching this movie a bit.
You made a good point about how Wall Street eclipsed No Man's Land.
Wall Street hit the theaters about 6 weeks after No Man's Land.
No Man's Land got mixed reviews and of course Wall Street was a Home Run if not a Grand Slam.

A couple notes that I dug up that I found interesting.
I have to go back and watch again as I missed Brad Pitt in this movie.
Turns out he was a waiter in the movie so that makes it easier to find.

    1. During filming of the final scene, Charlie Sheen was knocked unconscious when a squib that hardened overnight detonated at the wrong time.
He sustained lacerations to his face and a loss of hearing on one ear that lasted four weeks.

    2. Brad Pitt makes his feature film debut in the movie as an extra.
In 2019, Pitt revealed that he was almost fired from the film for trying to ad-lib a line.

Found Him lol... took a little longer than I expected.
He is located right before the Margot Scene at 21:48 in the Film.
You can see him pointing his finger behind Charlie Sheen.
And he says something muffled as he is taking orders at their table.
I suppose he is pouring their champagne as well.
I'm slipping as I missed it on my first two full viewings.

    Written by Dick Wolf.
    Produced by Ron Howard.
    That's pretty darn solid.

Not exactly a Reco but I just had to note the Role Reversal...

Monet, thanks for the No Man's Land details. I completely missed Brad Pitt's first role. I did recognize Kevin Bacon in Animal House and John Cusack in Sixteen Candles - but those were easy catches. I don't remember seeing Beyond The Law so thanks for posting about it in this thread. Ok so I watched Hustle. I have no regrets seeing it. I thought it was pretty good. It's too bad about the contrived aspects that have to fit in with Woke Culture, but it doesn't detract that much from the film overall IMHO.

    Thanks for reviewing Hustle.
I'm in no hurry to see it but I appreciate your analysis.
Beyond the Law 1993 is an odd movie.
Very silly at times and many things do not add up in the real world.
I do not recommend it as a movie that has replay value.
I only mention it because of Sheen is the undercover cop this time.
But he is very unbelievable as a Biker or a Criminal and no criminal that I know of ever says the word contraband.
That should of got him killed immediately when he says he wants to move contraband lol.
Much of the premise is very weak.
The most believable part of the movie is when he starts out trying to buy drugs and nobody will even give him the time of day let alone sell him drugs.
Whatever, Madsen is more believable as a Biker at least.
I liked him in the Natural until he ran into the wall and died which opens the position for Roy Hobbs lol.
    Baseball is rough.

No problem. Speaking of basketball movies, I remember Fast Break (1979) was pretty funny - this was back when Gabe "Welcome Back Kotter" Kaplan was on top as you may remember.

    Did I mention this movie?
    Did you see this movie?
If not it certainly is good enough to reco and has replay value for me.

    Boiler Room 2000

You may have mentioned it in passing, but I can't remember for certain. I saw the movie when it came out and I thought it was excellent. If you haven't seen it already, I would like to recommend the movie Margin Call to you which is another financial markets genre movie.

I did not see Fast Break so thanks for that.
I just bought it for 6 dollars.
I liked the look of the bar in the preview and that era.
Obviously, Gabe is going to carry that movie for me.

I sort of remember Margin Call.
    Have to watch it again.
I remember it being good but more of a white collar drama.
Kind of like that movie with Richard Gere... Arbitrage 2012.
Whereas Boiler Room is more on par with my experiences.
I always wanted to run/own a Home Casino near a College Campus like that.

Thanks Monet, I'll watch Arbitrage. I'm glad you will be seeing Fast Break. With regard to Boiler Room, I really thought that Ribisi was going to skyrocket to the top of the A listers after that movie, but it never really happened, although he is earning Big Bucks with the Avatar franchise.
Anyhow, you were absolutely right about the 10c bowling shuffleboard machine scene near the end of No Man's Land. Nowadays they jack you for at least $1.00 per game I think.

I watched Arbitrage and I found it to be entertaining. The person who created the film seems to have a lot of insight into the world of the uber-wealthy, in regards to their lifestyle and value system - but that is just a guess from a lay person. Obviously Black Hole (if he weren't banned) or Cerveza Fria could provide a much more accurate opinion in regards to how spot on the film was. Thanks again for the reco.

    The new dinosaur movie: underwhelming.

I wasn't going to watch it anyway since I only liked the 1st one, but thanks for the review Mr.V.

    Not too bad.
Same story as always with Gere.
Screwing around and usually getting away with it.
I suppose with the exception of Unfaithful 2002.
But I guess he finds True Love with Diane Lane 6 years later in Nights in Rodanthe 2008.
I could of been a movie reviewer lol.
I could of been a lot of things.
But all I ever wanted to be was a lazy bum.
    And I succeeded for now.

If you want to watch another Gere movie that is somewhat decent you can watch Intersection 1994.
Always the same story with this bastard lol.
In my opinion it is a better flick than the low 5.3 ratings but I may have just been in the mood for that type of movie back in the 90's.
I haven't viewed it for 20 some odd years.

    And while we're on it,
How the Fuck did/does everyone love Pretty Woman 1990??
    Horrible Movie.
    Horrible Message.
Just like that piece of shit Juno.
