Thread: Guidelines for AP play on Buffalo Diamond slots

It took me, of all people, a few days to get the joke

Thanks for straightening me out guys. I've since seen both $4 and $6 versions of the fixed grand jackpot. Prior to that, I was thinking all $4 versions were progressives and $6 versions were fixed. So I concocted a convoluted mess ha ha! My bad!!!

It still begs the question why the game developers would place such a low value on the fixed grand jackpot. If the odds are essentially zero if rounded to 11 decimal places, then to paraphrase Dr. Evil, why entice the gambler with a $100,000 jackpot when we could entice them with a $10,000 jackpot? (pinky finger raised to lips...) Not worth discussing, so not looking for any insight. Just an observation.

I think the big progressive jackpot is a wide area progressive. That means shared revenue between casino and manufacturer. The ones with the flat 10K jackpot are probably not shared revenue.

I see a machine at 24 on 2x, 9 on 3x and 176 on 4x. Am I right this is a play, but a VERY high volatility one?

The expectation is to make about 600 spins to hit the 2X. Then it will reset. But sure, you are getting a good discount on chasing the 4X until you hit the 2X. I would quit the play at that point. Chasing the 4X is no fun. You could be tied up for two days.

Thank you for that perspective. I can’t afford to be tied up for 2 days.

There was a lady on the machine and she wanted to get the slot techs to put the adjacent Diamond machine on hold for her. I didn’t see what the play was on that machine. The slot tech wouldn’t do it. Then another lady sat down at that machine and the first lady proposed that they hold each other’s machines and swap every so often. I’m a beginner at this but that seems obsessive and desperate.

I saw the lady trigger the wheel, and it landed on none of the 2/3/4X. It got me thinking this is practically impossible lol.

My take for what it is worth is to not go after the top line on an uncapped without someone to trade shifts. That is almost never the case for me and if so I'd have to be able to trust them when not around.

Pass on it and check every couple of hours to see the increasing misery in the player's face and pat yourself on the back that it isn't you...
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"
