Thread: Biggest Gambling Mistakes You Have Ever Made?

  1. #1
On my very first Craps Game, I decided that I didn't want to play Craps anymore, and I pressed "C and E," Thinking it meant "Cash Out/End Game," turns out that "C and E," is in fact a bet, and I lost. I remembered being confused and asking a Craps Player why the TITO didn't print out after I pressed the "Cash Out/End Game " button. He gently replied something like "C and E means Craps, and Eleven," and a 6 and a 5 came up, so you lost the bet.. Had you gotten 7/11, you would have won $100 on $12 bet." So, I learned the very hard way that "C and E " in Craps definitely does not mean "Cash Out/End Game,.

So, what are the biggest Gambling Mistakes you have ever made?

Very early in my Blackjack Career, I had two 10s, so 20. The Dealer had a single 10, so I thought I was Golden and would win. I was feeling overly cocky. I had a big happy smile on my face. The Dealer turned over an A(11) oh shit, I lost! My big happy smile turned into a look of horrified shock in literally seconds as I realized I lost.

Ok Blackjackpro (or Nathan/tasha), exactly how far into this blackjack career are you? 2 days? a week? Because what you are describing occurs numerous times a day for anyone that really plays and puts in reasonable play. It is as common as seeing a homeless person in Las Vegas.

And, while I know YOU won't understand this, I will say it anyway. For a card counter, this occurrence is going to happen even more frequently because a card counter is all about getting to the high positive counts...whatever style of play he may employ to get there. And when we get to these desired high counts, often times the results are 20 vs 20 pushes or the 20 vs 21 loss that you described because the remaining cards are "rich" with Aces and 10 value cards. And what is even worse is those 20 vs 20 pushes and 20 vs 21 losses occur with our Max bet out because the count is high.

That IS card counting my friend and you would know this (and that it is pretty common) if you were really a blackjackpro.

I played playing mixed games at bellagio. We had been playing Archie (aka 5 card triple draw hi-low split). I had been running horribly and got AA88. Not the greatest hand, but definitely playable in most situations. It is me and some guy heads-up with position on me. I draw, miss, but bet. Next draw I hit an 8 for 888/AA. I bet, guy raises me, I 3-bet him. He calls. I stand pat on last draw. He thinks.. thinks.. breaks and draws 1. I bet, he folds a King up. I'm a bit confused, but hey if someone shows me their cards I show them mine cuz I'm dumb like that. So I show my hand and hear this gasp from the table. Then realize we'd only been playing triple-draw low. The guy just gets up and leaves the poker room without a word. He left his chips but came back and got them later.

Not my biggest, but definitely my greatest !

My buddy was playing super aces video poker. Dealt a pair of kings, accidentally held one of two kings, Drew 4 aces for 400/1.

Well maybe?!? Personally I don't really care. But Axel, Poker Grinder and others seem rather certain and since they are inexplicably obsessed with the whole Tasha/Nathan and other sock puppet thing, I am inclined to go with their unhealthy obsession and feeling that you are Nathan.

Either way....one thing we know for sure is you are no blackjack pro.

There is ZERO chance BJpro, LS, Nathan and other socks are not connected Somehow.

I'm 95% certain It's Nathan. I think she is addicted to the forum game that she is playing, and due to her condition, this is something she will never let it go. She has been proven a deceiver, a catfisher and has an addictive compulsive nature. I'm certain she uses "disposable" burner phones. Perhaps not by Design, but out of necessity for whatever financial reasons. I have no doubt she uses diffrent burner phones on diffrent wifi networks that she frequents. You can get burner phones cheap(probably free, is Obama phones still a thing?) and you dont need any phone service to use them on WiFi. Add in her home PC, friends and family, work and she is set up for some proper sockpuppeteering. My suggestion, just ignore all the suspected sock-puppets.

I have always pretty much ignored Nathan/tasha/whoever. I have little interaction probably mostly because I have zero to little interest in most topics "she" ? discusses. BUT, I mean come on "blackjackpro" You really think I am going to let THAT one go by, especially when the first things she posts is how "shockingly" horrifying unusual it is to lose a pat 20 to a dealer 21. Happens a zillion times a day. She may be a BJ pro but she ain't a blackjack pro.

While your advice for people to just ignore this person is sound advice...maybe some of the best you have ever given, it is pretty hypocritical when you and your "buddies" seem to obsess over this person and everything she says and does.

Yea... It's just a coincidence that BlowJobPro jumps over to this forum when they get booted from WOV and "just happens" to make their first post on Luscious SweetLips very first, and only, post here.

Of course he also couldn't pass up a post of Nathan's: https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...ll=1#post90150

Just ignore her and all her multiple personalities and maybe she'll go away.

Being a former craps dealer, other dealers would say in a live game that "C and E" means casino employee. A way to encourage tips when a suit is not around.

She will keep trying hoping something sticks. She tries to come up with something AP's might be interested in. Unfortunately for her, she dose not have any real knowledge about gambling, so she can't fake it. And, she makes lots of puppeteer errors so it's easy to figure them out. She doesn't have the discipline to remain hidden long enough or well enough to be a proper sock.

I ordered a LYFT to a Casino about a week ago.... That was just like 2 blocks away from me! I cancelled as soon as I looked up and realized The Casino was like 2 block away from me. I called the LYFT Driver who showed up on my App and told him I made a major mistake ordering a LYFT as I soon realized that I was only about a block away from my Destination. He told me ,"No problem," and hung up.

I soon got a call from somebody else claiming he was my LYFT driver and was here to pick me up. I told him that I already cancelled my LYFT as I was already almost at my Destination. and spoke to my LYFT driver about it. He told me he hadn't spoken to me at all before this call. I told him that my LYFT Driver that showed up on my LYFT App was named Michael. He told me his name was Thomas. We went back and forth and he in a huff said he was charging me for the ride(About $7) and was very rude about it. Nasty even. What a Prick. . It wasn't my fault that LYFT gave me the wrong driver on my LYFT app. He should have understood that I was given the WRONG driver on my App. I should have complained to LYFT for giving me the wrong driver on my App. I should have reported the Correct Driver for being a rude, Nasty Prick.

I soon thought,"Oh well, I'll make up that $7 charge for the ride I never took at The Casino. It sounded like the Casino Staff Member who answered the phone said they would be OPEN UNTIL April 1st. I went to the Casino, and was baffled when the doors were LOCKED. I called The Casino to complain that I was told the Casino wpuld be OPEN UNTIL April 1st, but I am here and the doors were LOCKED. The Casino Staff Member who answered the phone said,"No, we're CLOSED UNTIL April 1st, and now we think we'll be closed even longer than that." Oh shit. I was out the $7 from that failed LYFT thing and I made the mistake of going to a CLOSED Casino. Double mistakes....

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!

Imagine that, the person that everyone admits is Mentally challenged at best, and probably retarted based on IQ, is the only person left in America that didn’t know casinos are closed. So the person who posts under multiple names still on forums doesn’t follow the news or visit a website for a casino.

Just another made up story from a chronic liar looking for attention.

You are the reason why books will be written in a few years on how much of this stimulus money was a waste.

I don't know if this was a particularly bad mistake, but it was painful. In college hoops, I began putting some futures money on Clemson about 15 years ago when they got to 13-0. I got 100-something to 1. Then, they won a few more, getting to 17-0, I believe, and I added some when I found 100-1. Well, it turns out, they couldn't handle a press to save their lives, and they couldn't shoot free throws. They proceeded to blow three games with double digit leads with four minutes left, they lost overtime games, they lost every conceivable manner of game, and they wound up not even making the NCAA tournament.

Wait, here's another one. I took a really good Clemson football team at about 50-1 to win the national title. They were loaded. I bet them early, and by the time the season was going to start, they were down to 20-1. They were actually seven point favorites against Alabama in the season opener. Well, Alabama ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown and proceeded to stomp them sideways. So my futures bet lasted about the eight seconds of the opening kickoff.

And finally, I had the Houston Oilers at something like 30-1 to win the AFC and 45-1 to win the SB way back. They still show that playoff game on classic reruns just to torture me. They were playing the Buffalo Bills.
