Sure they do, they have their own brewery, and it's good.

Colorado Belle is a dump, but not on the same scale as sleazy EI. The breweries cancel each other out. But EI takes the crown by having the lowest class hookers in the casino and in their unsafe parking garage. CB is more geriatric parkish in an overall safe area. Plus there's the river. Outside EI you have an area that makes Sam's Town's neighborhood feel like heaven.

I had completely forgotten. That's another way I offload the coins. I've dumped as high as $20 at a time.

That would be a great hustle. I imagine axel could tell us some stories.

I remember that too, and found this:

The change promo at Ellis started out at 20% unlimited. Then after a few days it was reduced to 10%. Then it was reduced to 10% on up to $400 worth of coin. Atleast that's how I remember it.

Gulfstream Park Casino changes coins into cash for no fees.

I will have to argue that that it was ever truly unlimited. I think I would have used all my coins that I bought if this was the case, and I have no doubt I would have went all ham on it. IIRC it was around summer and hot as fuck.

I had mentioned before it was 20% at the start(this has been discussed here before). I went to the bank and bough a few bricks of quarters and they were heavy as fuck. I kept them in the trunk and me and my GF did this quite a few times and ran well with a Royal and some dealt quads. I never did use all the coins and I had been ridding around for a very long time with like $500 in coins in my trunk. Probably gave up the EV from lowered gas mileage lol.

I don't care if casinos are dumps or not, I'm not there to enjoy the casino ambiance or food. I just want their money. Ya, its always a bonus when you have a play at a location you like and the food is great, but that's way down on my list. I can see how a -EV player might feel diffrent. Why play -EV games at dumpy places when you can do the same thing at a place you really like? Of course there are people who think certain places are loser than others (even on the same pay tables) than others and they keep going back even if its a shit hole due to conformation biases. I dont even like most of the fancy places like the Wynn. I do like the Cosmopolitan. Mostly I like places that don't have much heat on machine AP's and i can play with a little more peace of mind.

They definitely would have taken $500 when it was 20%

It was kind of hard to round up coins not making it very worthwhile. Eastside Cannery and Jerry's Nugget were the 2 best places to get coins from. The only limitation in the beginning was having to show a players card along with receipt at the cage.

$480 on free play seems to be the number I remember having on each of our cards. I remember thinking or was worth about $150 per day if the 2 of us both went each day.

Then I thought about how much work getting the coins, driving around etc etc. So I was like OK we will do it if we feel like it.

Did it twice, if memory serves me correctly it was $250 freeplay each time.

What locations in Vegas provide such a service?

My bank does not offer change counting services and still requires you to roll them up.

I can chime in here. About two/three years ago, I unloaded about 1K twice at Ellis Island and received a 10% free play bonus for taking the amount in free play. I distinctly remember because Argentino/Singer did his usual nose-in-the-air commentary about it being such an uncool thing to do. So the dates and amounts are in archives here.

Since then, Ellis ceased the promotion. But Axel is correct. The machines are still there and charge nothing.

I just dumped $50 in pennies in Coinstar the other day at Kroger and got a gift card. No fee if you get gift card. If you want money back, they gouge you, as mentioned.
When I bring in coin for cash I want cash not free play.
I think I'd rather have 18 to 19% return on my money in less than an hour.
