Compared to halcyon days of yore, almost every buffet is overpriced, but that has to do with them serving as comp write-offs. If you list a hefty retail, but allow (in Boyd's case) a 40% discount if points are used, then the 40% discount counts as a comp. So across the board, almost all buffets are inflated.

Many times, the reason I like a buffet is the room as opposed to the food. The Orleans is nice and bright and the "single male" seatings let you work on your stuff in peace. I like the Main Street buffet for the same reason -- the food is okay at best, but the room is a great place to start a morning. There's always stuff to review and stats to sprawl across the table.

Interestingly, before I did the Cantina breakfast the other day in the Miracle Shops, I had stopped to get breakfast at the Paris buffet. The room, however, was just too dark to work comfortably. So I passed.

The Wynn is killer, but I don't even count that as a buffet.
