This is sort of crazy to me. I guess MGM is worried about the survivors hitting some home run. This is America. The fact that any crazy loon can cause a company to pay out near 1 billion for no fault of their own should worry any 2nd amendment advocate.

Regarding something more pressing - Those fucking people walking into your room every 2 days @ caesars/mgm are annoying as fuck and unlikely to stop anytime soon. My assumption is the reason that is being done is to avoid legal liability by showing the preventative measures. How annoying.

Last trip to Vegas I bought a fake piece of shit in that tourist junk store between strip/downtown. Everytime they were due, I'd set that fucker out by the phone. We'd always watch the person out of our eye and don't say one word. oh well, lots of thrills for $1.99.

Drives me nuts too. Now there is an Indian casino I go to that is always trying to be like a Vegas casino and they have starting doing it too.

WTF?!? My room overlooks a field, do they think Im gonna shoot cows?

At French Lick Casino in Larry's Bird's hometown, French Lick, Indiana, you have to go through a metal detector to get into the casino.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

If it was government, we'd hear the term 'security theater'. Not only is it pointless in your case because of the cattle thing, but anyone could still EASILY bring in multiple firearms and a thousand rounds of ammo into their room within an hour. Likewise, the weapons could be hidden in luggage during any inspection. It is the most pointless shit ever. I'd much rather see RIO/Caesars fix their doors that don't latch when closed without force. That way maybe I wouldn't be ROBBED due to their incompetence! But nah.. lets do something pointless and annoying instead.

When I was robbed, first thing I should have done is tried to pry the SMALL sign on the door off that has the latch failure warning in fine print and claim there was no warning and got an attorney to send threatening letters so they'd had to pay for what was taken out of the room.

I'm headed to the strip here in a couple of days. I don't even feel like gambling at a MGM property because I have to pay for parking... and drink surcharges now. Ugh. I have friends who are there to gamble and wouldn't mind giving the Pai Gow tiles a go, but it bothers me morally to support these strip properties.
