Thread: Ocean Casino AC steals player comps with sudden retroactive points expiration date

  1. #1
Ocean Casino was once Revel, which had its own sordid history with screwing players (especially APs) on promotions.

Now Ocean has kept up that proud tradition, and is screwing players once again.

Ocean initially did not have expiration dates for its points. However, in June 2019, they abruptly decided to make the expiration date 3 months from last activity (6 months for tiers other than the bottom "blue").

This was retroactive, which was the worst part. So if you hadn't been there in 3 months, your points were instantly gone.

They offered a "one time reinstatement" for those who complained, but clearly this was a form of a negative check-off scam, where anyone who didn't complain simply lost their points.

Furthermore, unless you played on the day of reinstatement, you would lose your points again the next day, because it would again have been more than 3 months!

Even worse, players have complained that nobody informed them of the change, and it was just quietly rolled out in June.

Here's an article about it with more details: https://www.njonlinegambling.com/oce...s-controversy/

They will lose business this way. Stealing points from Customers and then doing tbat shady reinstatement thing ONLY if they complain(And stealing the points AGAIN if they don't use them the same day as the reinstatement day)is the quickest way for them to resent you, badmouth you, and boycott you. This Casino should know that the CUSTOMERS are actually the ones who are their bosses and the ones who put food on their tables. Pissing off Customers and especially to this extent will lose them business imminently. This is even WORSE than the Casino Scam where they sent Mailer Promotions offering either free play, a physical gift, or an automatic Tier Upgrade and when Customer comes in for Promotion, the Player's Club admitted that the offers didn't exist. So the Customer wasted his gas/time and possibly MONEY(many Customers will waste money if they think they will get it back in free play) chasing promised offers that didn't actually exist. Ouch. And IMHO, stealing points is even worse than the mailed offers that don't actually exist.
