Thread: Will I be able to get a Host after major coin in?

So, I got a beyond phenomenal win at Gulfstream on just .20 cents($393 on a Bonus that paid like a MAX BET. I was playing Stinking Rich, at 4 lines times 5 and the 3 Keys To Riches Symbols showed up in a row on a line I was playing. It retriggered multiple times and since I was playing times 5, it was the Max bet in the Bonus and I got 1,965 times my bet. )and I got about 276 points(1,380 coin in and was still up and able to pay bills)) Do you think I should ask for a Host? I mean $1,380 has to be worth SOMETHING, right? Okay, I did get a $20 freeplay after that massive coin in, especially in just one day. I'm wondering if that is enough to qualify for a Host...

You will first have to run some major coin in. $1380 is not major coin in.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

When a host approaches me I worry if I came on the right day! To me they're just a feel good welcoming committee

Usually each property has their own internal standards for what qualifies you for a host. Asking for one doesn't usually help, and in fact it's not always good to have one.

You can still ask for comps to the host on duty.

I don't know of any casino that would consider $1,300 of coin in to be a lot. If you play $10,000 coin in you may be on the edge of a good player but you need to do that consistently. If you play $10k each visit you will start getting a little bit of love.

Anybody looking to have a casino host is more than likely a losing gambler who thrives on slot club perks and special attention more than they do winning money. You want casino eyes OFF of you every time to walk into any casino. Claiming "my host and I are such good friends at my home away from home, and they're SO good to me by handing out all these comps and smiles and great conversation!" is the sure sign of a big loser who's become a near-expert at comps over-valuation.

This is Gambling 101 people. The next topic we'll be seeing is how getting casino credit or cashing checks at cages is the end-all in casino knowledge.

I think it greatly depends on the situation oftentimes host can offer thousands in cashback and free free play that you wouldn't normally get and sometimes that can be without ever even playing a hand in that casino.

Often times at many places the hosts are very disconnected from the casino management and have no clue whatsoever about Advantage play. They see your coin in and losses only. Even if you're winning, they still just see the coin in and think it's just a matter of time before you give it all back plus more and that's what they want. I've had hosts basically get management and security off my ass in the past obviously that's rare. And I've known people who have gotten UN 86ed from a property and all their privileges back due to a hosts recommendation. Again that's a rare situation.

And there are some places, plays and situations where a host can absolutely ruin a good play for you.
