Just think, Axel. You just give them your picture at the players club booth and you won't have to use a card. Easy Peasy.

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

I don't think it's going to fly for the most part, but who knows, I've been wrong once

Try to prove you played for eight hours when the system doesn't recognize you and fails to give you your credits.
Keep your friends close, keep your drinks closer...

You could have that same problem using a card.

I'm sure the facial system will have some kind of acknowledgement message, but so do card systems. Then the computer system screws up.

I listen to fights like that all the time when I'm in line at the players club: people arguing they played longer than the system shows. And it's even worse at table games.

Just stick something over the tiny camera lens and it won't matter.

I'm wondering to what degree casinos use facial recognition now when patrons enter casinos?

While I'm not sure what is happening in Las Vegas casinos these days, the tribal joints I go to require that when entering I pause briefly, lower my mask and allow them to scan me from above.

The explanation is that they are taking my temperature remotely, but I suspect there is facial recognition tech at work also.

Anybody know what's really going on with this?

Stations was definitely taking a picture during the Covid temp check upon entry. They requested mask down and glasses off. Boyd requested mask down only.

I have no clue but it seems that local places might do this more because it allows them to skimp on security because your trouble-makers tend to become known. In Las Vegas where everyone is passing through it doesn't make as much sense.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

    Absolutely.

Last month I went to a casino in Massachusetts that demanded mask down and my face scanned for temperature. I was then notified I was trespassed from before even though I hadn't even visited that casino before.

Strangely they told me to hang on for a few minutes while they see why. Then they said the trespass was lifted and allowed me entry.

I'm guessing since I hadn't done anything at that property and this absentia trespass was most likely years old they decided to lift it but of course now I didn't do anything inside. Gonna have to send in my crew

Finally, I know for certain that particular visit wound up with my photo taken and updated in OSN. (Sorry not at liberty to discuss how, you will have to trust me on that one)
