Thread: MGM closing buffets because of Coronavirus

  1. #1
MGM just announced its closing it's buffets effective Sunday. But why Sunday?

If the virus is such a danger why not close immediately? Or is MGM using the virus panic to cap the losses it has on buffets?

By closing on Sunday does this mean they have four days of food to use up?

I've always doubted buffets were profitable for casinos. I think they are more of a loss leader to lure in gamblers.

You have a good point. Rob Singer(Is ironically how I learned of the CV in the first place said something about a month ago like,"Minimum wage Employees are preparing food for buffets with their Coronavirus laden hands!" At the time I had no idea what the CV was when he said that. I thought he was talking about Noravirus or something like that. Buffets should have been closed as soon as the CV began to spread.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.
