It was reported on another forum that Foxwoods in CT had eliminated 6-5 Blackjack in September but I had to go and see for myself today.

Sure enough.... everything is now 3-2. There's a mix of $10, $15, and $25 tables in the four sections. There's even a $1 minimum table at 3-2 but it's a CSM.

Could this be the beginning of the end of 6-5 when a major casino like Foxwoods does away with it? BTW it's still going strong at Mohegan Sun with a whole section of about 10 tables at a $10 minimum.

MGM Springfield got rid of all their 6-5 a few months ago on all the real tables. The Stadium blackjack still pays 6-5.

I believe MGM Springfield's 6-5 BJ game was/is subject to a lawsuit alleging it violates the law.

It appears that, after all the confusion, it's legal to have a 6:5 game in Mass.

I'm surprised they removed the 6:5 game, because those are lucrative for the casino, and few blackjack players these days know the difference. It's not like in the 1980s where these games would have been laughed out of town.

I've never seen any numbers on this but I think the 6:5 vs 3:2 distinction doesn't affect the overall house hold as much as one might think because so much of the hold comes from the side bets anyway.

Yes, MGM Springfield got rid of 6-5 but the low limit $10 & $15 tables are all CSMs. On the plus side, the $25 tables are all 6-deck and S17.

What about Encore Boston? Did they eliminate 6-5? What are the lowest limits for a 3-2 game at Encore?

It's the competition. The Connecticut casinos have been hammered since their heyday. Encore is really hurting them I think.

    Are they advertising this??

Honestly most blackjack players today are so clueless that they don't care if it's 6:5 or 3:2. They only care about tables they feel are "lucky".
