Thread: Peppermill and Atlantis Reno kicking out slot hustlers en masse.

Thankfully I found out from a friend before I set foot in either one.

Be very, very careful if these are places you frequent.

guessing they've become over flooded w hustlers. i'd recommend not using a players card when playing the one and two spin games ocean magic, golden egypt etc...

En masse? Does that mean they've stopped giving rolls of quarters to those arriving by bus? Or are they using dogs to sniff out and hunt down the scoundrels?

Forgot to add that you can pretty much assume that GSR will have the same policy.

Not yet. but it's been so overrun by the people ejected from the other two that it's hardly worth visiting.

My friend who travels to find opportunities like new Bonus slots and promo’s told me that it was like an Bonus Hustler’s convention in Peppermill as early as the summer of 2018. He couldn’t make good money at Peppermill because every 5 minutes someone would check the machines.

GSM is the nearest solo casino (via car) from Atlantis / Peppermill unless you want to go south to T. Junction. Most hustlers drive to GSM from Atlantis and does a circuit like Nugget, the truck stop, Western Village, etc.

Peppermill and Atlantis kicked out all the old school hustlers about ten years ago. They traded information in doing so. It looks like they are doing the same thing again.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

It goes in cycles every few years. I retired from the rat race after making good money from 20+ years in the business.

I still help out my friends from time to time and serve as a broker of good information. These new folks get drunk from greed and never learn why they were 86’ed.

I wish I saw this thread in the last two months. Had the luckiest run of my life, made $6000+ at Peppermill in one day in December and got banned for 6 months to life the very next day. Haven't had a ton of success in Atlantis recently but just got banned from playing slots for life, told I can only play table games and eat. Never rude to anyone, don't drink or acted strange. Once I use all my comps dining, I'm never using a players card again.

You must know you are being filmed by multiple cameras. If not, then you are ignorant since just about anyone can see the multiple cameras in the ceiling. There is a lot of cameras filming the whole casino (except the bathroom’s).

It’s pretty obvious how to ID a bonus hustler: they only or mostly play bonus machines, they “check” bonus machines by hitting buttons and it does not help with multi-denominations on the same machine at Peppermill, and these bonus hustlers loiter, e.g. they either camp by bonus machines or vulture them.

The older breed of or more seasoned bonus hustlers with a ton of more experience use camouflage, don’t check machines, e.g. they can spot the equity on certain machines without hitting the buttons but only check other denominations after playing the game for a while, they use hit and run tactics, they wear multiple outfits in one day, etc, etc.

The biggest difference is they know the casino doesn’t have legs and will go away. It’s a land based case and will stay there for year, so why the hurry to make money? They make their money slowly and stay under the radar and use different tactics.

The player’s card isn’t why you got caught. If a bonus machine is being checked every 5 minutes, then you cannot check that machine. It’s guilt by association, e.g. using a broad brush. It is so important to have a good memory to know who the other bonus hustlers are and avoid them & the machines the play or check.

At Thunder Valley casino, they kick out hustlers who check machines but don’t play. At Red Hawk casino, if you camp by a bank of machines and won’t share, then don’t get upset if you get kicked out. Each casino has its own rules. Expect a lot of whines and surprise when Cache Creek start their en masse 86’s.

The writing is on the wall: if people can learn how to make money from bonus machines from the internet, then so can the casino’s. My buddy’s are constantly searching for new bonus slots and/or focus on unknown bonus slots that others aren’t playing.

Not too surprising. I made one trip to Reno early last year and was surprised at the lack of discretion hustlers showed there.

I’ve seen people there standing up, checking two machines at a time, full volume, hitting each bet as fast as they can without putting a ticket in.

My favorite when was I was (discretely) checking a machine and a hustler sits right next to me and starts blasting each bet fast at full volume. I give him an annoyed look and he quickly hits the rules screen button and pretends to be reading the rules lol.
