I remember a guy saying that he was playing near an elderly lady and a younger man and woman near her suddenly begun chatting up her, "nicely", asking her questions such as if she had any Grandkids, where she was from, and if she played in that Casino often. The guy said his hackles were raised even when they were being "nice."

Then, all of a sudden, the younger man stopped being nice, went in the poor elderly lady's personal space without her permission and said something like,"I oughta kick your ass so bad right now!" The elderly lady was understandably unnerved and pressed cash out to leave and looked at the way too close young man. The young woman stole the TITO while the elderly lady was being distracted. All of a sudden, the man was no longer interested in threatening the elderly lady and he and his female accomplice both left. The elderly lady looked around for her TITO and cried when she realized it had been stolen. The first guy decided to help her out and help her report the incident to the Casino Management. Management checked the TITO and told her that it "she "cashed it about one minute after she pressed cash out. .

The first guy pointed out that she was threatened and then robbed and some complete strangers had ran off with her ticket/money. The Casino Management berated the elderly lady for not actually looking at the TITO after pressing cash out(Seriously? The poor elderly lady was legitimately scared for her safety when that guy threatened her!) and refused to give her back her stolen money. The elderly lady was understandably not happy at all with the Management ddcision and being robbed/threatened in the first place. I feel that there should be money in reserve for victims like that.

Contrast this to a high roller who was playing in Borgata Casino or something like that when he suddenly had to pee really badly and ran to the bathroom from his game without pressing cash out and he said during mid pee he realized he accidentally left $2,000 unattended in a game, was horrified, but finished peeing, washed up quickly and ran back to his slot only to see that the TITO was already gone. He asked Casino Management to help him out and they tracked the TITO and the Camera.

Some idiot woman had stolen the TITO and instead of cashing out the TITO and running out the door, like a smart person would have done, she stuck the TITO into another machine and sat there playing like an idiot. The Casino Management and the high roller Victim confronted her and she claimed that the money she was playing with was money she brought in with her. The CM told her he caught her on camera stealing his TITO and then walking to the machine she was at now. She was forced to give back the TITO, was banned for life, and whatever money she lost was given back to him from reserved money.

That should be all Casinos policies. Give Victims money from reserve money.
