Thread: Any casino offer perks for having casino credit?

  1. #1
Considering applying for credit and would like to know if anyone has received or heard of perks simply for having credit at a casino.

  2. #2
Amazing that someone who purports to have more casino knowledge than Anthony Curtis on steroids would not know how to find out this information accurately on his own....while resorting to asking this clownpool.

    That's your answer?

Name a casino. Guaranteed any player who does not live in LV can get that info within 2 hours. LV residents? 30 minutes maybe.

Are you sure you're not Tasha posting a variety of simplistic threads just to keep getting noticed?

I need answers Rob, not the sharpest knife in the kitchen here, but have some skills.

Asking "Does anyone know of any X that Y ?" is a far different question than 'Does anyone know X about Y ?" Rob can't comprehend such things.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

Think, you idiot. Any true professional gambler on serious AP already knows about X, Y, Z on how to do their own discovery on the aforementioned, and how to get the best value out of them.

Asking questions like that on a forum that you neurotics constantly worry are being "monitored" by "people that count" and "people who can ruin things" is like bring the fox to the hen house. Good pros are not weak, indecisive or incapable. And they MOS DEF would never be asking for or trusting information disseminated from this place. Granted the most prolific BS artist of all time, kew, is now hiding away in some sissy safe spot. But that's no excuse for this.

I've never had casino credit. But I think if I did do it, I'd potentially talk to a host ahead of time and see what's up. Play it off like you're considering it but don't really want to do it...they'll probably try to get you to get it....then you ask what kind of perks they'll offer you. Then again, if I were in your shoes, I'd probably do the same thing and ask others what (if any) perks they get for having a LOC.

Ive never gotten casino credit but I am curios about 1 thing. Ive seen a couple of casino credit apps and they all ask for occupation.

If you are filing taxes as a professional gambler and if the credit app has you sign under penalty of perjury (which the couple I have seen do) do you really want the casino to know you are a professional gambler since that implies you are an AP? And you dont want to lie on application (fraud) so would be really interested to know how people handle this situation.

Now you should know better. Asking others what perks they get for a line of credit is about as useful as trying to claim on forums that "you win!" but the only proof you have is "because the math says I should". Nobody has anything close to an idea of what an individual's personal gambling results and circumstances are or how any particular host views those traits in order to assess perks. So to ask a bunch of untrustworthy anonymous people who mainly post nonsense, is amateurish at best.

A true pro would take any source of information and weigh it appropriately. Asking a question like he did wasn't harmful. Getting credit somewhere is likely not a huge play and if so, then the person who knows would not likely give out the information.

So many of you guys sit around jerking off over trying to discredit anyone who professes to be an AP or have AP interests. So nuts.

As a trustworthy, non-anonymous poster, I thought I'd add what little I know. First off, I'm not sure of the real difference between having a credit line and having check cashing privileges. I had check cashing privileges at the Imperial Palace for a long, long time, but I did not have a formal credit line. My check cashing had a limit, which garnered no perks, but it's possible the six-digit credit line guys get perks.

Second, historically, I am aware of instances a few years back when the LVHilton/Westgate was offering a sizeable bonus or free wager if you applied and qualified for a 10K line of credit. I was not in the city at the time, and I'm not sure what goes into assigning who is eligible for what credit line. Also, I believe when the SLS first opened as such, they also were offering some kind of sizable free play bonus or something if you qualified for a credit line. I may in fact be conflating the LVHilton/Westgate qualifying amount for the SLS qualifying amount.

If any places have similar offers right now, they are probably not public, so best to ring them up and simply ask. Just the fact that you called and were interested in applying may be worth a perk or two via offers.

Anyone wanting further lessons in gentle civility can sign up for my personal course. It'll cost you a coffee and a raspberry Danish.

This was no attempt to discredit anyone calling themselves an AP. It was a point being made that, as redietz explained above, it's always simpler and better to be able to handle these type of things on your own. No need to involve or ask anyone but the casino itself. And as time goes on, you'll glean far more pertinent information than by asking unknowns or even those you do know. The most successful pros operate alone and in their own little world, and they keep their mouths shut.

You started off by referring to the people who would answer his question as the "clownpool".

It begs the question why you even post here. You have some serious mental issues trying to always prove something.

Rob, I have to give credit where it is due, no pun intended. Very good post, I could not agree more.

There was a promo at a southern CA casino a few years ago where supposedly you could get up to $5,000 freeplay for opening a $100k credit line with them.

However, any attempt to ask about it led to blank stares, and nobody on the phone could tell you anything. I think it was something they marketed but never really implemented.

I don't even like interacting with casino hosts. Why in the hell would I give them any financial information?
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

Exactly. If a person is a serious gambler regardless of their limits, the very last person you ever want to talk to is a casino host. People readily forget these are employees loyal to the casino, they want to keep their jobs, and they don't give even half a crap about any player's circumstances. Their job #1 is to get as much money transferred from the customer's account to the casino's.

Sure we always have the weak/struggling/self-confidence-lacking players on forums who swear up & down how these "hosts" are their wonderful friend(s) at their "home away from home", and how hosts at times provide this and that "os-so-special services and comps" for the asking. Well, to strong players this only exacerbates the reason for staying away from them. The last thing any successful player wants or needs is to be tracked by a host. And when you flag them down to ask them for anything, you are more on their radar than you were ten minutes ago.
