No but I've read that they reserve the right to reset progressives and MHBs each time the ship docks.

Anyone who knows their stuff would NEVER seek out information regarding gambling on any CRUISE SHIP! OMG, do people never learn?? Just enjoy the cruise, complete with all the potential coronavirus, SARS, ecoli contaminations, and the plethora of germs spread by the collection of third world slugs who get paid next to nothing to put their filthy hands all over your rooms and sneeze & cough all over all that fabulous cruise ship food you think is so great to pig down 24/7.

Wise up. It's like you're one of those hard core blinded 7-stars fools who think they're the cat's meow.

Well my grandma doesn't have much time left on Earth and it was always her wish to take a cruise. I finally have a chance to make that happen. Given it's just the two of us, I figure I'll have a lot of free time and will check out the casino. Thank you for being such a stand up guy and taking your valuable time to provide such profound insight.

The ongoing theory of slots on cruise ships is to play in the first 36 hours. You “may” have a better chance at a jackpot. Theory is that jackpots hit early on cruise ships and you go down to dinner and brag about your winnings. That encourages more to head to the casino. I can offer no data, just word of mouth....

Correct, as I was departing the ship, past the casino, the VP progressive was at $1000, the night before it was $1600+. No one had hit it.

And thank you for letting everyone know how little you actually care about grandma. Looking forward to keeping her alone in her room just so you, with all that spare time, can gamble on machines controlled by foreign countries certainly speaks well of you.

The best advice I can give regarding gambling on cruise ships:

    Don't.

    VP paytables are terrible.

Slots have a terrible payback, and even the progressives don't make them anywhere near +EV.

Poker has an awful rake of 10% up to $25, which makes it -EV even against bad players.

There is one and only one +EV opportunity at the casino onboard.

It's the blackjack tournament, but you need to play it correctly. It's done with a leaderboard. Do not play until the 2nd-to-last round, and then bet just enough to barely pass the last spot on the leaderboard, only betting more if someone at your table gets substantially ahead of you. If the leaderboard is wide open -- or if the table champion advances to the final round no matter what -- just minbet and let everyone hang themselves, only raising your bet if someone starts to pull way ahead.

At the final table, do that same min-betting thing.

Thank you Rob for this post. This post had been my very first knowledge of the Coronavirus and I remember thinking that you were talking about The Norovirus(Stomach Flu) when you said Coronavirus. I soon saw that Coronavirus was Trending On Google and found out it was WAY worse than the Norovirus. Amazing Coronavirus had been around for about THREE WEEKS at the time and I hadn't even heard of it until your post mentioning it....

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!
