Sort of Free Money in a way so it doesn't really matter.
I think my point was that you get crushed when you buy or own a new vehicle in all directions.
I've bought 5 new vehicles in the last 15 years for various reasons.
Usually because of a certain situation or outside pressure/influence.
I think about the people who buy these vehicles who aren't in a Freeroll situation.
I mean they just do it just because lol.
I am sure you already know but you just get killed on everything.
Just the Sales Tax alone can buy you a used vehicle that could easily last you 5 to 10 years.
Sometimes I just try to wrap my head around what is going on with roads, vehicles and the government.
I mean I get it... If you Want you have to Pay.
So we the tax payers pay for the roads and the upkeep on the roads.
If we want to drive on OUR roads we have to pay for a license and they even got the insurance connected these days.
Years ago you could drive without insurance but not these days in most states.
If you lapse one day on your insurance they tax you with a fee of something like 140 dollars!
I made a mistake once online and typed in the 26th instead of the 25th.
Sure enough DMV mailed me a notice that I missed one day of insurance on my vehicles and had to pay the fee to be reinstated.
Anyways so we pay for the roads and pay to maintain them through tax dollars.
We pay to drive on the roads through licenses, insurance and registration.
Some roads are toll roads so you have to pay to drive on those because the state sold the road to another country/company.
So you pay for that road, pay to maintain it and pay a toll to drive on it lol.
If you buy a brand new car from a business they crush you with 8% sales tax so a 40k vehicle costs you 3200 dollars Tax lol.
Brand New means more money for registration.
Not sure why since it is better on emissions and everything else but if you want that luxury they say you pay more.
My 12 year old vehicle pays 80 dollars in registration... go figure.
Anyways, its goofy but whatever... gonna die one of these days anyways
I like the truck all in all but hopefully I would inform anyone who wants to buy a truck to buy something smaller.
Never, Ever buy an F 250 or 2500 series unless you have a very large Garage or Parking Space at your House like RV Space or what not.
Even if you have the room for this type of vehicle it's a pain for city life with parking, driving and whatever else you can think of.
On the plus side it has a ton of room and comfort in the 4 door cabin.
I had no problem going up steep inclines with snow covered roads.
I haven't towed anything yet but I am sure it is a beast for that sort of thing.
Couple pictures of the Vacation.
Perhaps I will make a thread and share some more later on.
It was nice to get away and hide up in the mountains for a week at high elevation.
I bought a bunch of wood and cranked that wood stove every night.
Had to open the windows and use fans to keep the upstairs somewhat cool.
Fun to me.
