Do you mean print the ticket out of the machine, or cash it out at the kiosk?

I recall a story (I think one of yours) where unaffiliated hustlers were interested in how big each others tickets got during a session, as they were moving from machine to machine.

It seemed that cash was used for the initial buy-in at the first machine, then a ticket after that for the rest of the plays, instead of constantly cashing out at the kiosk and using cash at the next machine.

I also recall photos where the cash balance indicated that the buy-in at the machine in the photo was obviously a ticket printed from another machine that was previously played.
Print the ticket. With TITO you can just stick the ticket in another machine you find a play on. It's when you finally go to a kiosk that you wind up with change in your pocket.

There are some Indian casinos that when you cash your ticket at a kiosk it spits out the bills and then prints a ticket for the change. You can either stick the ticket back in a machine or take it to the cashier in the back of the casino to cash it. Its a pain in the ass to walk to the back of the casino to the cage to cash out a 27 cent ticket. A lot of people just leave those tickets on the top of the kiosk.

About machine change that can't be split...do you mean something like 3 quarters?

Typically, how many partners participate in the chop?
Yes, that's right Coach - 3 quarters is an example of this. As far as chops - it is myself and one other person on almost all occasions.

    OK, I understand.

With this method, when you have exhausted the plays you'll only have one ticket to cash at the kiosk, and you'll never leave the casino with more than 99 cents in change from your play...unless you also hit a hand pay(s) that included change.

Sometimes I see players sticking multiple slot tickets in the kiosk all at once...they hold up the line. The kiosk adds them all up and spits out the cash and change, but it can't ever be more than 99 cents in change...right?

They must be printing a TITO from one machine when they are done playing it, then buying in for cash at the next machine, instead of using the ticket from the previous machine to continue playing.

This sounds like what tableplay is doing...except he is cashing individual tickets at the kiosk one at at time in several separate trips to the kiosk, so he ultimately ends up with more change than is necessary.

    Am I following this correctly?

Yes you are following it correctly. I do not like carrying around large vouchers when playing by myself and, if playing with a partner, I like to get cashed out after a play is done. I don't want to deal with voucher damage on a large voucher or with losing a large voucher or having the kiosk reject the voucher because it is too large and then getting forced to cash it at the cage. We are all different and for me having extra change to deal with later is not a big deal for me.

I'm struggling with the scenario where 2 grown men cash a ticket at a kiosk for, say $100.75. They stand there and split the cash $50-$50, then split the quarters 2-1, and then one guy gives the other 12 cents...or 13 cents?

Is that really how it goes down, over and over again? You gotta be kidding.

Yes that is how it goes down (except that we don't stand in front of the kiosk machine to perform the split - we go to a machine with a flat surface like a slant-top to make the division). So then this results in a situation that you don't like and that is how it will be.

And you always cash the vouchers immediately and individually, never combine them, or use a ticket from a previous machine on the next machine? Always buy in at a machine for cash?

What's the largest voucher that you're comfortable carrying around?

No the vouchers are not always immediately cashed out. Sometimes vouchers are combined and sometimes vouchers are used on the next machine. Machines are not always bought in for cash. I'll take the fifth on the largest voucher I feel comfortable carrying around.

If I wind up with a large voucher I cash it. It's a precaution because of accidentally leaving a ticket in a machine. I've done it before.
