Thread: The Adventures of MDawg (in progress)

DUDE!! MrV described some experiences as a freshman in college. That is an 18 year old. Only YOU would try to turn that into something more. And then to say you are not judging. Judging is all you EVER do!

Now lets talk about attorney's and alcohol. Attorneys are notorious for being drinkers. Long business lunches with half dozen "cocktails". Not speaking of MrV or anyone in particular, but I would venture to say there are more functioning alcoholics that are attorneys that any other occupation. Where do you live, Mars or somewhere?

UNKewlJ, you've been mentally ill all your life. YOU didn't get any better you just got worse. The galloping in your head hasn't subsided has it?

Alcoholism is also a disease and it may take a lifetime to cultivate it but it was always there.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

I have the pieces of a short story. I can't quite flesh it out but here is my first pass. It is only the beginning on what will be an otherwise very very long story arc.

As Mister V reclined in his cozy living room, enveloped in the warmth of his favorite armchair and bathed in the soft glow of lamplight, a sudden, unexpected knock on his front door shattered the tranquility of the evening. His heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively set aside the book he had been engrossed in. With a furrowed brow and a mixture of curiosity and caution, he rose from his seat, the wooden floor creaking softly beneath his steps. The rhythmic knock persisted, growing slightly more insistent with each passing second, filling the room with an air of mystery and intrigue. He approached the door, his senses on high alert, ready to unveil the enigma behind this unexpected interruption to his peaceful evening.

There he was. A flamboyant gay Pacific Islander who exuded an infectious sense of gayness as he sashayed gracefully on the edge of the porch. His presence was a burst of color and energy against the backdrop of bland Oregon surburbia.

With his hand placed delicately on his hip, he moved with an elegant and fluid grace that seemed to be in perfect harmony with the rhythm of Mr V. His steps were light and playful, as if he were dancing to an invisible melody only Mr V. could hear.

As he sashayed along, he couldn't help but draw attention from Mr V. He reveled in it. His outfit was a masterpiece of creativity and self-expression, a riot of bright colors, and patterns that celebrated his unique style. Feathers, sequins, and beads adorned his clothing, catching the sunlight and casting shimmering reflections all around.

With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, he turned to Mister V, cocked his head to one side, and greeted them with a playful, "Meeeeester, can you help me?" His tone was warm and inviting, yet high and shrill, inviting others to join in the celebration of life and APing that he embodied.

Mr V, an older gay man, wise and compassionate from the experiences life has offered him, readily agreed to extend a helping hand to a younger man seeking guidance and support. With a warm smile and a genuine desire to nurture, he recognized the importance of passing on wisdom and fostering a sense of belonging within the LGBTQ+ community. Their connection transcended mere mentorship; it was a beautiful intergenerational bond that carried the torch of acceptance, understanding, and resilience. As they embarked on this journey together, the older man saw in the younger one the potential for growth and the opportunity to navigate life's challenges with grace and self-acceptance. In this act of generosity, he reaffirmed the enduring power of unity and mentorship within the diverse tapestry of the gay community.

As the evening unfolded, it became clear to those around that the man had a significant choice to make. On one hand, there was a perfectly rolled joint, enticing and tempting with the promise of a brief escape from reality. On the other hand, there was Jason, a friend he had known for years from various internet gambling forums, who had PM'd him out of the blue, needing someone to talk to.

As he contemplated his options, he couldn't help but think about the many times Jason had been there for him in the past, offering a listening ear, an internet story, and friendship when he needed it most. The joint, though momentarily appealing, paled in comparison to the depth of connection he shared with Jason, the other J in his life.

In the end, he decided that human connection was more valuable than any temporary relief the joint might provide. He put the joint aside and nervously fidgeted with his zipper. They spent the night talking, sharing stories, and supporting each other through the ups and downs of life. In that moment, he realized that the bonds of friendship and the genuine attraction he had with Jason were far more satisfying and meaningful than any indulgence, reaffirming the importance of nurturing authentic gay internet relationships over fleeting distractions.

You can play your games AinQ, but you are a bigot. Specifically a homophobe. A bigot is someone who dislikes or hates someone that is in some way different than them. Could be race, nationality, religion, or sexual preference. People are naturally scared of someone different than they are.

Additionally you and everyone that repeats this Pacific Islander shit, (along with the other lies repeatedly told here) are a liar. I have nothing against Pacific Islanders. Kind of funny looking. But I am not Pacific islander. I am as much a pacific islander as you are a big black guy. I probably shouldn't say that as I don't really know (or care) if you are a big black guy. But that is where we are. So freaking juvenile as well as dishonest. I mean is that your idea of funny? If so, I think you are even more retarded.

Now you're getting the homophobe thing from Mr V. Mr V is the one who says it is a slur to call a guy gay. I disagree.

I'm just writing a fictional short story that is no more fictional than what you share with us.

So funny. All lecturing then you tell me Pacific Islanders look "funny" and choose a "big black guy" to compare me to as if that is totally normal behavior.

Look AinQ dude, you can believe or not believe my back story or anything I claim and have shared that I do. You and everyone have always had that right.

But what you can't do is point to anything that I have said that defies either the math or the way Las Vegas works. About the closest anyone can come to that is those that claim no one can count cards in Las Vegas for a decade or more. But those are people who don't even play blackjack. Some never did, some don't anymore. So they are people like you, opining on something they really don't know, for some reason that probably has nothing to do with gambling or blackjack.

The fact is there are still dozens of players making a living counting cards living in Vegas. Besides myself, my brother Zenking, I have seen some of them repeatedly from time to time. Not necessarily all at my stakes, or my style. Maybe some it is supplementing retirement or other income and not purely making a living. But playing regularly and making good money.

And this 2 dozen or so is down from hundreds not that many years ago. Mainly because most have moved on to other things both in and out of AP play. Not because it can't be done or someone put a stop to it.

And there are more Casinos in Las Vegas than ever before. Two more good size casinos opening in the next couple months, one on the strip, Fountainbleu (if that is still the name) and a Station Casino, Durango Station, 7-8 miles west of the strip. It is billed as upper tier like Red Rocks or GVR, but I suspect it will be a bit smaller like Sante Fe station up North. Still nice enough. Here is hoping they have good blackjack.

Casinos have tried to stop card counters since before I was born. Nothing has changed. It is just a cat and mouse games and there are ways around everything. And limits and styles that are better tolerated.

So anyone saying no one can count cards in 2023 anymore just doesn't know shit. just like there are people that say no one can beat casinos. These are people that are just clueless. Just because you don't count cards....dont be a clueless boob, AinQ.

This isn't the first time he has posted a picture of that shit.

Just like prescription drugs as well as over the counter drugs, all those supplements are chemicals, poison to our bodies. Obviously if a person has a heart or other condition and needs medication that is one thing. But 90% of medications taken and prescribed the person would be better off getting off that medication as soon as possible. And supplements, are just non-sense. No one needs supplements. You can get all the nutrients and vitamins that the human body needs from a healthy diet.

Oh and sugar is poison....literally. Cancers and all the other diseases exploded at the same time sugar consumption exploded in this country. Sugar causes inflammation which is the primary cause of most disease and body issues.

What is it? I am not getting this. I just numbered every one of them so we can be precise about. This guy has 34 containers that appear to be for supplements. Some of them might work but 34 bottles of it?

    34 fuckn bottles.

Is this a brag because the concierge or whomever got it for him at CVS? Does he give them a list upon arrival? Or is this a demonstration of his suitcase full of supplements he takes to Vegas?

As politely and sincere as I could gave you a chance to fess up with the one lie that personally affected me. (Now I understand I'm really exaggerating it "affecting me" but look people - we have to manufacture drama out of the absurd. That is how the internet works. A soap opera. Ever watch one of those? anyway)

I gave you that chance and said I wouldn't say it to anyone if you fessed up. You just couldn't do it. Not even admitting to the worst aspects of it.

It would have been so simple for you to have said, 'yea man yanno I didn't actually hire a programmer or buy it on Ebay'... but nah. It is all true and fuck you ! <- thats what you basically said.

So here you are Kewl, I'm bored and goofing on you. You had your chance for me to not do it.

It is clear this stuff doesn't bother you too much. You're just excited to get in the fray.

I dunno.. honestly I think I'm going to take this advice to heart and avoid the place until I get back home in a few days. When I do I expect Mr V or KewlJ to write the next chapter in that story or I will.

As far as the stock market, been in it for many years since I was just a pup, and the sums I have in there are staggering compared to being down $200K on one trade. I know what I am doing. I'll be fine. I actually haven't lost a nickel on more than one trade in years.

Hey fellow forum members, does Rob eventually fight with everyone? Is that the story of the scene here?

Today was a repeat of yesterday, almost to the letter. Ended with just a couple dollars more than yesterday!

and wearing platinum today versus gold yesterday didn't seem to make a difference.

I was down as much as, I believe it was, -23 at one point, but gradually rallied to even.

This is how it went: I pulled an 8, lost it, did a couple of call bets, won one or two, lost one or two. Pulled a ten, lost that too - not immediately, but eventually. Then pulled a twenty. At one point (when I was down -23 I believe it was) I slammed $15K on one hand and won with a 6. Later on I won an $8000. nine over eight player. That was pretty fun. Commission - that was killing me, I must have paid out five grand maybe a lot more, of commission along the way to a final victory. I rarely if ever keep playing after coming back from in the hole to even.

Boz asked about why would I even get down, reading the cards and varying my bet. I am not actually playing this $300. minimum table correctly. I need to vary my bet more and press into the runs better. Once I was on a roll, the dealers kept commenting that I wasn't betting enough and could have emptied their tray if I had been playing harder. But, I was gun shy after being down so much, and just wanted back to even.

Sad isn't it, how "easy" it is sometimes to win twenty or thirty grand when you have to (are down), but not so much when you don't have to (are ahead).

Towards the beginning I had this really cool cocktail waitress. I recall her from last trip although I don't know her as well as the one from yesterday. Towards the end this Russian blonde took over and although hot she had a masked but visible (at least to me) attitude, and if anyone did not deserve a tip, it was she, but she did deliver my teas, and so, she got the same fiver per hot tea as any other waitress who serves me. The Russian girl spent most of her time in the back bar behind the tables surrounded by about five guys, a combination of customers and employees. I was in such a good mood as I inched in on my goal, that I felt like leaping back there and saying, wow, you sure have it nice surrounded by male minions, now how about bringing me a tea mine has gotten cold again. But, so what, it's the Palms and hot cocktail waitresses at least at high limit are the norm. Let them enjoy the attention. I was busy winning back my money.

All markers paid, waiting for wife to come back from the spa, then probably a long dinner at Bobby Flay's. I have too much energy to dine in the room tonight. That was pretty intense today. I may be getting tired. I misplaced something valuable in the room and when I didn't find it in the safe I started panicking. I was about to login on my laptop to GPS search for it, when I discovered that my wife had hidden it for me. I must have left it out on the bed. Careless. Maybe time for a break.

In any case I play one session per day only so tomorrow I will go to the gym and get grounded before resuming play.
May I see the front of the Rolex that you have with the Rolex clasp in the back, I had one that looked exactly like that, well at least the band anyway. I bought it at a poker game from a guy who went broke knowing it was fake. It was pretty nice looking, and it was hard to tell that it was fake. I paid $150 for it. He claims it cost him $300. Unfortunately, I was carrying a bunch of stuff one day including that watch and I set some stuff on top of the roof including a flip phone that I forgot about and drove off eventually it flew off and was all run over by traffic and destroyed.

Dude, you have an opinion on this subject. Nothing more. I had an opinion too at first. And because this is such an important issue to me involving what I do for a living, I did everything I could to find out, including skirting the law a little to get my hands on the machine.

What I find amazing, truly amazing is someone who doesn't think these machines are capable of this kind of manipulation.

We have tiny little devices they put inside people to keep their heart beating.
We have camera capable of reading the date on a dime from 50 yards away.
We have satellite images from outer space that can focus in on people.
We have full blown computers that we hold in our hand and use as Phones.

And yet you think a machine cant arrange cards in any order desired. Or if you know that it can, then you are one of those that think we should just blindly trust that casinos are not and would never do such a thing.

Well they have the capability, and they can and do use it sometimes. Not frequently but every once in a while you run across a place willing to cross that line. That is the history of the casino industry.

Unless you have a specific deficiency in something vitamins and supplements will do you no good assuming you eat like a normal American. And yes that includes fast food and a garbage diet. I guess there might be some specific vitamins and supplements that help a tiny bit. I guess vitamin D might break those rules and actually be beneficial because it seems to be a common deficiency.

Mdawg, do you know that digging out of a hole is about the worse thing an AP can do. Draws more attention that just sitting down and winning big.

If you are really playing with an advantage, a real mathematical advantage and not some voodoo thing like "betting into streaks" and i don't think you are playing to a real advantage, but if you are, you are far better off to go ahead and book a loss after getting down.

If you are really playing with an advantage, you will win tomorrow or the next day and get that money back. But at least when someone looks at your history, they will see some losses, which looks more natural. If you dig out of every hole and show nothing but wins, in the real world you won't be tolerated for long. In the Mdawg twilight zone world, well I have no idea.
