I'm confused that you actually read this thread.
I notice many members read every post from every member.
Looking for possible information I suppose?
I literally bypassed all comments on page 91 scrolling down to your post.
I read most of your comments for the wit!

I implied nothing of the sort.

I just showed what a hypocrite you are calling by somebody else out for a mean streak.

Now go cry into your pillow over how you've embarrassed yourself.

    This is complete nonsense.

Does tipping the waitress change the odds of the game too?
Coach, I often play on a $100 minimum table and I tip very, very little and the main reason being the amount of the tip is almost never graciously accepted by many of those greedy MF begging dealers with real attitude problems.
Good for you, I do the same, if it's not going to be appreciated, waste of resources.

Like many VCT forum members, I have participated in both felt APing (early to late 90's mostly) and machine APing. What I really like about the machine stuff is not having to deal with casino games employees (the occasion slot tech) anywhere near as much - tipping and heat are present in much smaller doses (at least for the plays I take).

    More complete nonsense.

Do room and board count as gaming losses?

Do you subtract vehicle expenses & clothing allowance from your gambling roll too?

Is your entire life a business?

An example of my thoughts on this subject. I am about to take a break and leave the table with $2015 of which 1k was my buy-in. I color up but not before the three reds are already in my shirt pocket thinking that I am up either 1k or $985 if I tip because I also have to account for the $15 cost of using the highway EZ Pass. Fuck that dealer asshole, who cares if he has five kids.

Wow Bosox. And a merry Christmas to you too.

I share you overall view and I share your earlier statement that small tokes are never appreciated. I actually had a dealer once say to me, when I toked a couple dollars "Thanks, now i can buy a newspaper". And just as Bosox said the toke whoring has really grown out of control. Any dealer engaging in that should be fired on the spot.

Advantage players and recreational gamblers see tipping through very different spectrums. For recreational gamblers, out having a good time, the dealer is part of the entertainment I guess. Like a dancing monkey. So they tip. I see some players playing red or even light green tipping $5 on every $25 and $50 bet. They are now playing to a 10%-20% disadvantage instead of the normal house edge of half a percent for a decent basic strategy player. There is almost no chance they encounter decent variance and win for that night. They might as well of just mailed a check. But I guess they got whatever entertainment value a grown man or woman dealing cards provided. To go back to the dancing monkey analogy, a dancing monkey and/or the person that trained the monkey is much more worthy of a tip than a dealer IMO.

Unlike Bosox's rather harsh assessment, I feel for the dealer struggling to make a living, just as I feel for a fast food worker or the cashier at CVS that I may stop at on the way home. Not the high school kids, but the middle aged people working those jobs that may be struggling to raise a family. Am I supposed to tip every person I encounter that is struggling to raise a family? To supplement every person I encounter? That is not the way it works. I give to charities of my choosing, I can not afford to give to every low paid worker that I encounter, dealers included. If their pay is insignificant, they have the option to try to find a better job, or go back to school.

Now I do tip a bit at the tables. Lets go by the numbers. My EV (expected win) for any year from blackjack is about 80 grand. I play about 60,000 rounds to get there. That tells you what I make, a little over $1 a round. What would be a good amount for me to tip? $1 a round. I would be tipping $60,000 of my $80,000 expected win as mentioned earlier that still wouldn't be appreciated. What if I said, ok, I'll tip 10% of my expected win. That works out to about $1 every 6 or 7 rounds. Even worse as far as appreciation. Downright contempt. Dealers think a player should tip 25% of their bet, repeatedly. I witness it all the time. And you know what, to earn that just over $1 a round in EV, I have to have a large bet in +counts of several hundred dollars. Try tipping a $1 or $2 when you are betting $400 and see the reaction.

So what I have adopted is I will tip $5 at the conclusion of a decent winning session, which because I play short sessions is 20 minutes or so. Losing session, I tip zero. I mean if every dealer got $5 from every player a couple times and hour, they are doing ok. More than the dancing monkey's should make.

And let me ask this? why does tipping stop at table games? If I am playing a poker machine should I seek out an attendant and tip $1 every round I play? Of course not. So it is accepted that there is an additional hidden fee added on to the house edge expected for table games, but not machine play. Interesting.

In short a dealer is not providing a personalized service to me, no matter how much they want to pretend. Not like a waiter, waitress, bartender, bell hop, delivery person. They just aren't! They are providing a very menial task, dealing the cards. Really a monkey could be taught that job and at some point robots and computers will be the dealers. That has started already. Do you know some of those computerized video blackjack games, the 5 seaters with the video dealers have an option to tip. Give me a break!

I don't know, every time I walk by those machines I slow down to look at the babes in the video. I have not played those games as I am afraid I may consider a tip.

Be careful not to bang your face on the screen as you try to kiss them, BoSox.

When no one is playing one of the common phrases the female computer image says is "Do you want to play with me". I think that may be triggers by people walking by. (motion detector)

Do you members really read these kind of lengthy posts?

    Mind-boggling.

In reality this thread is just about the only decent and worthy thing on this forum.

Unless you enjoy a 3 ring circus of drunks or people high on drugs gone wild.

Well some folks, especially those that have been banned under a given alias, find that another cool thing about this forum is that Dan is perfectly fine if a banned person comes back with another sock. AndrewG (self-banned under his original name IIRC),Onehitfucktard and others would agree I'm sure.

  13. #1833
So you are saying and accusing me of being a banned member here?

You know what you remind me of the common table games gambler. Asking a floor person for a comp. You receive it. Then you go up to another floor person and ask again thinking you will get a second one claiming you did not got anything yet. LOL every damn day. Same crap.

Same basic advice, which I gave to "the Boz", to you. Don't be sure of anything, at least not until of everything, say, with a theory of everything. I bet that you, still, think that Biden has no chance to win the election.

So Nancy thinks Biden shouldn’t debate Trump. Even she knows he can’t handle Trump and will look like a fool.

I hope if he bails out, Trump should absolutely have debates with a cardboard Biden. Fox and others would televise it and the election would be over.
Boz, I would say that the democrats have already conceded with the Biden/Harris ticket - it is just a dog and pony show and they are looking to regroup for 2024. Obviously, there is no chance that the Biden/Harris ticket will succeed.
Try to say something right, for a change. Or, are you just trying to be the "class clown"?

I am glad you set the example here when you wrote the below-quoted 2nd line in the previous post:

    Sounds like strong drugs.

Sounds like, and, guessing, are for losers. I go by what I know. I know that the bulk of the stuff on these internet forums is gross nonsense. So, it's fun to try to make something constructive of it all.

Although, getting out of the paranoia puzzle seems fun afterwards, I do not recommend it.

So AxelWolf, who claims that he "doesn't give a fuck about nothing" complained to the Wizard and had the title of The Fake Adventures of AxelWolf changed, because...he obviously does give a fuck. And now he's trying to get me suspended, crying that the thread might give people a bad impression of him. There there wazzums, all weepy weepy den. I got news for you pal - MDawg's not getting suspended at WOV over creating that thread! but if it bothers you so much that your words were thrown back in your face, create the fake thread that you claimed you could create so easily! The reason you can't create a fake MDawg's Adventures thread, is because my thread is genuine, and faking what's real isn't as easy as you boasted it could be, is it?

I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

Bill, I believe you said you were done with the forum, but here you are spouting your new age numerical gibberish again. Anyway, I believe the election was rigged and that is the reason why Biden will likely end up as the president. So I was wrong since I didn't anticipate this level of corruption.

I'm pretty sure nobody at this site gives a fuck. Well, maybe Tasha does. You should probably contain your nonsense to the gullible fools over at the WoV who seem to care about your tales of watches, food, suites, and whatever.
