Thread: Mickey Crimm tweets Bonus Game from 2005

I played Spielo’s Crank’s Bash in 2005 ... it had two must hit (by) amounts: Fruit “Pool” & Monster “Pool”.

Game was in $0.05 and each pool had to be awarded by 15,000 credits or $750.00.

This may have been the first MH bonus game that I played and yes, the game meter’s for fruit & monsters were changed as I had to update my spreadsheet and adjust my time showing up at the casino.

The bonus round was “Here We Go” ... love that phrase.

    Tweet is here: https://mobile.twitter.com/mickeycri...16029203128321

The graphics are what I remembered them to be in 2005. Brings back the memories.

According to this website, the game came out in 2004. What an oldie.

I remembered this game because I built a model that predicted when to show up and take down the jackpots. Then the meter movements got changed so I had to rework my model. It was easy money back in the day.

Spielo was a Canadian concern and GTech acquired Spielo in 2004, which is why the game was listed as GTech but the slot machine used Spielo back in 2004 or 2005 when I played it.

GTech went on to acquire IGT.

Spielo was famous for +EV video BJ machines that caused professional VBJ teams from South Africa & (back then) Czech Republic to show up on the US shores (several posts on bj21.com at that time).

Bump. I found this old thread and wondered how I missed it until I seen the date. I was in the hospital.

I don't know what Ex-AP was trying to pull here. He was always taking shots at me. Maybe he was trying to show me that he was playing this game well before me.

But anyways, all he did was make a liar and idiot out of himself. I don't get many plays on this game anymore. The ploppies have quit playing it and driving up the meters. It was a strong moneymaker. Here's a video:

Ex-AP descibed Crank's Bash as a Must Hit game. IT'S NOT A MUST HIT GAME. REPEAT, IT'S NOT A MUST HIT GAME. It's a progressive game where you have to line up the BONUS POT symbols on each reel.

It's a 15 line nickel game with a max bet of $2 but just 75 cents to qualify for the meters.

Lining up the BONUS POT symbols on the left 4 columns awards the Fruit Pot.

Lining up the BONUS POT symbols on the right 4 columns awards the Monster Pot.

Lining up the BONUS POT symbols on all five columns awards both pots.

The meters start at zero. The Fruit Pot meter is equivalent to a 4.5% progressive meter, the Monster Pot, 3%.

I started playing this game when there was $250 combined in the meters.

I collected stats on my first 100 plays and adjusted my play number accordingly.

I ended up putting the freq at 1300 to hit one side or the other or hit both sides at the same time.

The drain worked out to be 16%. So an average cost of $156.

I wound up playing when the money was at $310 or higher because 3 out of 4 plays you just hit one side and have to quit the play.

On turbo I could get out 2000 spins an hour so it was about a 40 minute play.

Just the meter speed alone was worth $60 an hour on this game but I frequently played when the money was at $500 or $600 making the game worth more.

With meters at $500 it was $200 in expectation for 40 minutes seat time.

I don't know what the hell Ex-AP was trying to pull. It's not a must hit game.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

That's how Darkoz got his idea to become an AP. He was playing slots, and had been down to his last pennies and decided it was time to go home. He was on the bus awaiting departure or very near the bus and realized he left his Player's Club Card in his machine and went back to the Casino to retrieve it and he realized some random Guy was obliviously playing a lot of money with his card in the machine. The random guy ended up earning him about $50 in free play or points which Darkoz used to win big money on and History was made for Darkoz.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

I am glad to get my full posting rights back! Thank you Dan!

That was also in Marathon Mission's playbook. Not only used by napolean bullshitting arrogant braggart midgets.

Yeah, I pulled that stunt many years ago on point multiplier days leaving it in high-limit machines. My justification was that I wasn't taking anything from a patron because they didn't notice that a card was in there, which means they didn't attempt to insert their own card. On the $5 machines, I was getting $0.10 Free Play for every single $5 bet that the person made...so if they weren't going to use their own card and get that, why shouldn't I?

As I have already admitted, that's very much a, "Bottom-feeder," play, as I think someone else termed it. I was also quite nearly broke (divorced and paying all bills and mortgage on my previous house as well as child support) and was, not coincidentally, very much a bottom-feeder at the time. Definitely not something I would do now---no need. Would I ever do it if I was that hard up for cash again? I can't promise I wouldn't...but I probably wouldn't; not worth losing a casino if 86'ed.

Seems like it would be harder to do nowadays because while I frequently see low limit players playing without a card, I rarely see high limit players playing without a card. Seems like people in general are more aware of freeplay and points today than they were years ago.
