Thread: Play Aruze’s Great Tiki or Brave Spirit at own risk

I will play this game in Reno, but not in North Cali market.

Games are described in this video:

Nice tweet by an “AP” (whatever that means) in North Cali market.

    Coin in: $865+
    Coin out: $343+
    Net loss: $522+

You must be an “AP” for losing roughly 60% of your initial capital.

The equity are banked free games for Mini, Minor, etc. A lot of the spins are duds and the bonus rounds are a joke. At least in HD, you can win big during the Wheel Bonus (e.g. win consecutive picks) to keep you alive.

I had a guy tell me he was going to jump in at X banked games and then start at 2X until so many more banked games, then go to 3X until so many more banked games ... until he got to play at 7X. His logic was the initial banked games were at 2X, 3X, etc which was less than 7X so he could win big at 7X. Guy lost his shirt and then some and won’t touch the game again. He won’t even check the machines. His buddy found the “play” 2 hours later and the bonus awarded was 1/3rd the total loss. Lol

Btw “FractalDactyl” uses a progression as well starting at 5X rather than 7X.

The Golden Rule in AP is EV trumps probabilities. You see people play progressives and have say 127/128 win rate in say roulette, but on that 128th spin or only loss in the cycle, you get back to your EV when you lose all your progressive wagers. Lol. (Btw, 127/128 is a damn good batting average).

My buddy was trying to exploit a “design” flaw ... earn banked free games at a cost of 2X and hopefully collect on 7X. You see AP’s exploit this angle all the time in other bonus slot games, e.g. the slot manufacturer failed to account for earning the equity at a lower cost vs awarding the equity so you now see language of bonus awarded based on bet that triggers the bonus.

My buddy’s idea wasn’t a bad idea. The problem was the “bleed rate”. If you observed 30 independent & random bonus rounds, you would not play this game. The ploppies that win big are due to two things: (a) huge wins @ 7 x 7 x 7 or 343X (based on my understanding of the game) and (b) retriggers of more free games.

Someone will get that 7 x 7 x 7 or 343x big hit but in order for the game to give that large of a prize, the other prizes must be crap to average to the average bonus award. 343x hit is a huge outlier.

When I first discovered this game, I had the same idea to bank spins at 2x and collect at 7x.

Quickly realized though that one problem with this idea is that since the bonuses are usually crappy they hit frequently, so while trying to bank spins at 2x you frequently hit them at 2x reseting the meter before you can build them up to collect at 7x.
