Thread: $100 free play

I got in the mail $100 of free play from a casino that I haven't been to in a long, long time and a casino I wouldn't have considered returning to except now I have this $100 free play coupon.

It happens to be near a casino I plan on visiting soon. So what do I do with the $100 free play?

Here are the options I am considering since video poker is allowed and my goal is to turn the free play into cash and leave. I will be playing either JOB or Bonus depending on the pay table:

    1. play four hands at the $5 denomination or
    2. play 10 hands at the $2 denomination or
    3. play 20 hands at the $1 denomination

I don't want to mess with 25-cent or 50-cent games since spending time is not my goal. My goal is to convert to cash and walk.

    What are your suggestions?

It only matters if you do what you say you're going to do, and leave after running it thru once only. On freeplay such as this, for the most opportunity to get as much of the starting amount in cash as possible, you play the lowest denomination/least volatile game available. However, since you are mostly a $5 player then you won't like playing less than dollars. And for only $100 you have to count on fast good luck at those limits. I'd stick with four $5 hands.

Just left that casino. Playing $1 8/5 Bonus cashed out $95.

Edited to add: After I left this casino (which was Pechanga), went to my "main casino" which happens to be Harrahs Rincon and hit my first royal in something like 170-thousand hands. I hit that royal on free play also again on 8/5 bonus. But before hitting the royal had a slew of quads. It feels good to finally "hit" something.
