Hmm. I got an Email saying that my IRS stimulus checks will be deposited into the banks I used for my 2018 and 2019 IRS Refund checks... Fuck. Those two banks are now both CLOSED Accounts. Shit, Fuck, Hell, Damn!

The cost of fucking up simple banking math and screwing over banks. As you only could have gotten your 2019 refund in the past 2 months, this one is on you.

Go to the IRS site and try to add new banking information for the new banking account or Green Dot card you now have. While it will delay your check, they will hopefully retry once the initial deposit is returned by the bank for being closed.

But if you fucked the bank over when you closed the account, they may take any money you screwed them out of.

I actually think this will be a larger issue as many seem to overdraw checking accounts and then just walk away to the next bank or prepaid option.

When they said "2019," tax refunds I was thinking of the tax refund I filed on like February 8,2019(Which would have been for 2018 tax year). That bank account is CLOSED. If they meant the 2019 tax refund I filed in late January 2020, that Account is still active. I might have a chance if by 2019 they meant the 2019 tax year and NOT the 2018 year. I'm screwed if they sent it to the 2018 file for the 2017 year. That bank Account is also CLOSED. Also I didn't close the Accounts, the Banks closed them themselves for overdrafts.

Tasha, apparently you change bank accounts almost as often as handles on forums. You could possibly be able to work out a deal with the Federal Government whereby they send your $1200 dollars to you through Vegas Casino Talk in $25 gift cards in care of Luscious SweetLips. Being suspended on forums, or having overdrafts on your bank accounts is all the same thing.

I reviewed this earlier today. Yes, the President wanted his name on the stimulus checks even though it was not needed. Frankly, if he signed the checks, himself, it was not legal. Instead, it was put on the left side in the memo area. In the last 20 years previous stimulus checks have been given but the treasury department would not let political influence be involved (letter with the check in 2001 for example).

On April 3rd, President trump did not desire to have his name on the stimulus checks. Apparently, things have changed.

The guy cashed it right away and disappeared and they never heard from him again (at least at the time, don’t know if they ever caught him later)

Always thought it was funny because even though $90k was worth more back then it still wouldn’t be enough for most people to disappear and go on the lam for even back then. Back to the original topic of THIS threads, yesterday or the day before I commented on what a good job the treasury department was doing getting out these funds in a timely manner. That praise may have been premature. I still think they are working hard and trying hard, but it doesn't appear it is going all smoothly. I haven't received my $1200, and the link that we have been talking about that is supposed to advise the status of your payment is useless. I tried to check the status several times yesterday, receiving a message questioning whether I even qualified, which I do, and then after the third time checking the status, was kicked off the site for 24 hours for excessive tries.

So like I said, for me, this status or tracking tool appears useless. Anyone else have any success using this feature?

There are too many problems and all of these have been reported in the media. Some highlights:

1. $1200 checks going to the wrong bank accounts
2. Social Security recipients are getting checks next week BUT the IRS website isn't set up to verify that
3. The SBA EIDL program has run out of money
4. The PPP program has run out of money
5. The Nevada Unemployment program is still unable to process the new claims under the federal programs

Nothing is working.

The PPP is broke and Republicans tried to get $350 Billion to small businesses by Unanimous Consent. The Democrats said NO, they want other stuff added.

Democratic Governors want to keep states closed, Republicans want to open them.

Liberals on here like RED and Yung spread fear and panic and believe everyone is going to die. Conservatives like many of us are willing to move the country forward and feel the economic damage is far worse than the virus to most of us.

Liberals bash Trump everyday no matter what he does. Conservatives are starting to stand up for their rights and take it to the streets.

Mr Boz is right. The whole thing is political. If the left hadn't criticized Trump's timeline for action, and if the left hadn't flooded social media with comparisons to the Spanish Flu with 100-million dead, the current shutdowns probably wouldn't be as severe.

Yes some shutdowns are warranted. But the damage done by the left and their criticism of Trump will prompt the Democrat governors to extend their shutdowns longer than needed.

But Jesus, I am stuck at home, so I am going to look into and do what I have to to assure I get whatever money and unemployment the government says I am entitled to. I think you have to be proactive. Anyone sitting back saying, it will eventually come, may never see the benefits they are entitled to.

And thinking longterm as I always do as an AP, I am really starting to think that my AP carrier may be over or severely changed from how I have known it, so I am preparing for that and that includes, getting whatever money, I have coming to me.
