So Today should be baseball's opening day.
March madness gone.
NBA and NHL gone. (whether they know it or not)
Upcoming Olympics gone.
Now Baseball.
Life as we know it slipping away. This new normal sucks!

Might be interesting for someone out there to write what is open in Vegas. Much more interesting than what’s going on in most of our areas.
I watched the Wizards bike trip the other day and have read a few online stories. I read at least one McDonalds is open on the strip in a Washington Post story. Maybe the freestanding one North since it has a Drive Thru. Wouldn’t think Harmon or the one next to Harrahs is. I did read Buffalo Wild Wings on Harmon is open for take out.
Also one of my favorites, Stage Door is open at their C-Store. Not at the bar/ casino side obviously.
And Wizard wrote the Cats Meow Karaoke is open downtown though I can’t see why they would be. So I looked at their webcam and there is activity 2 days ago with people singing.

Obviously grocery stores and other essentials are. What are you seeing out there? And is it any different from most of our hometowns once the casinos are closed?
Good to see NV is still allowing our 2nd Amendment rights, unlike the liberal clown in NJ. He shut down all Gun Dealers as non essential and when sued he closed down the department that does background checks. So even if the stores win the lawsuit, they cannot sell guns without the required background checks. Typical liberal shithole and governor.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday. When I got to the hospital there were two nurses sitting inside the door that screened me for coronavirus then gave me a slip of paper that said I was cleared to be in the hospital. We're up to 90 cases in Montana and I just heard the Governor ordered a statewide shutdown until April 15. My county, Cascade County, has been shutdown since March 14. So we're going a whole frickin' month here.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
Every generation has their new and different types of serious challenges. The Greatest Generation took theirs on with courage and dignity. My generation got thru ours. But there's genuine concern about how these new generations can adequately react to adversity. They're lacking in wherewithal, they choose entitlements over hard work, and they fold at the first sign of struggle.
You SHOULD be nervous.

So I popped into my local grocery store today for a few Items, mostly junk food items, like ice cream that I just could no longer do with out. I only picked up a few items, as we have a pretty good supply of food still at home (just short of junk food) and will probably get a big order delivered next week. But what I couldn't help but notice was that prices of almost everything I purchased were up fairly substantially. Anyone else notice this?
By the way, our governor and the president both keep saying how there is no shortage or disruption to the food supply. So them why the higher prices?
There are definitely less “sale” items and perishables (meat, veggies and fruit) are at full retail price - no weekly deals.
Keep your friends close, keep your drinks closer...
I've been watching basketball and soccer replays on youtube all day long. I just dont know what to do with the extra time that I have now that work has been halted. I hoping theyll find a vaccine or a cure soon so we can all go back to our daily lives.
Wimbledon was cancelled for this year. First time since WW2. I was watching sportscenter on ESPN this morning, don't know why as there are no sports and they were speculating that there may be no sports this year, 2020. The NFL said yesterday that they are still planning on starting as usual in September and have made no contingency plans. As they were announcing that, I got the feeling they weren't being honest, or are in denial or something.
I have watched some football replays on NFL network this week. They had the Eagles-Seahawks playoff game the other night. I watch most of it. The Eagles lost again. lol. On NBCsports, they had game 7 of the Vegas Golden Knights/san Jose Sharks from last year. I watched some of that one too. The knights dominated the game, lead 3-0 with 10 minutes to go and then gave uo 4 goals, while San Jose was on a controversial 5 minute power play. Was hard to watch that 5 minutes again. But I did.
I'm going to be live streaming some Hedgehog and turtle races next week. I'll have an odd's sheet/ racing form for betting available at your request. Let's say I gave you even money turtle versus a hedgehog which would you take?
Here's the setup, red-eared slider versus hedgehog, straight line 15 ft towards the water, hedgehogs favorite treat at the finish line.

I watch the president's press briefings some. It looks like he has the journalists shamed into asking real questions instead of the gotchas. It's pretty tame there now as the journalists have been forced into acting like real journalists because of viewership of the briefings. Americans are really hating on the partisanship being shown by the press as the presidents approval ratings have shot up.

A while back I said "you couldn't pay me to fly right now". Frontier airlines is getting pretty darn close to that. This morning I got an email saying they are charging 1 cent for airfare. That comes to $11 with taxes.
Judging from recent videos and photos of airplanes where there are 6 or 7 people on a flight, IF I thought that this virus couldn't be transmitted through the air (airborne) as they claim, that would be a cool way to fill some time and see some places. But I don't believe that. Virus is spreading too easily for it to ONLY be transmitted through touch.
Anyway, stay healthy and safe.
It’s a great opportunity for anyone willing to fly to gain miles toward elite status. By using the right Credit Cards and the right routes, you actually will be getting paid to fly. Assuming the airline is still in business to use the miles in the future.
It’s definitely an AP travel move, unless you get infected and die. Risk versus reward.
