If you have great credit, a good job, cash on hand, etc ... now is the time to bargain hard for a new car.

I have a goal to buy a new hybrid SUV in 2020 and was waiting for the reviews on the Honda CRV hybrid. So far, it’s a pass due to no spare tire and poor highway MPG vs Toyota RAV4 hybrid highway MPG. First, I am old school so I need a donut or a spare because I don’t want to be stranded. Also, when you drive 1,000+ highway miles a week at times, those extra 3 to 5 mpg adds up. But gas is dirt cheap right now in some places in the US.

Separately, I am also waiting to see the upcoming Toyota Venza hybrid as well as Toyota RAV4 Prime and other hybrid SUV’s like Kia Sorento hybrid. I also considered Tesla’s Model Y but as a renter, it’s hard to get a BEV.
