Thread: Will the Las Vegas Strip Open Soon

The article ignores the Californians that drive to Vegas. For interstate highway that is in the middle of nowhere I-15 between southern Cali and Vegas is probably the busiest stretch there is.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

I was figuring the casino industry would be lobbying hard for a May 1 opening. That is when the Governors current stay at home order expires and also the date that some casinos are now accepting hotel reservations for. But in conflict with that date Stations casinos announced yesterday that they were paying employees through May 15.

    https://www.bestuscasinos.org/news/s...ough-may-15th/

Really casinos, especially the strip and Fremont street where people are on top of each other, should be about the last businesses to open, along with sporting events, concerts, and places like Disneyworld. They should just try opening some restaurants and shops first and see how that goes.

So last night I read an article where a doctor at Stanford was suggesting that the Virus may have come to California, much earlier than thought, late last year, when California experienced a spike in flu related deaths. Since the was no coronavirus testing he is speculating that those deaths may have coronavirus rather than the flu. And if that was the case, he was suggesting that we may be further along with "herd immunity" than thought and could open things up and get back to normal.

This morning I turn on the news and first story I see says California may remain in lockdown until mid-June.

I don't know when we are coming out of this.

You know damn well the libbies will do everything they can do to ensure we don’t open up until November. Party before country, economy be damned.

Since this virus is not a whole lot different than the flu which many more people get, I expect to see casinos open around May 1st. The owners and management are on the sleazy side but they're not stupid. Now that they know the stimulus deposits and checks will be in the sweaty hands of the majority of Americans sometime next week, the bosses are right on top of this. They know every local addict, every California problem gambler, and every troubled lower-income socially distraught going nowhere loser is chomping at the bit to get back at it, and they will not let people just go out and "buy stuff" with this free cash.

Stimulus checks not needed by 70-80% of the public still working. Stimulus checks that will cost younger Americans many times over in higher interest rates on our increasing debt.

The stimulus checks were a stupid idea and as Rob said, will be wasted by a majority of Americans. A year from now we will still be hearing about the high percentage of Americans who don’t have $400 saved for an emergency. But they certainly can afford Starbucks, Cigarettes or Weed, a $200 a month cell phone plan and the newest whatever.

They certainly won’t put the money in a savings account. And don’t get me started on the extra $600 in UC benefits some people will get that will only encourage them not to go back to work.

I'm on board with all that. We don't need these checks but we're both getting one. That $600 UC add-on is an Obama era-like de-motivator. It'll just mess up a lot of laid off people with their companies and bosses.

Except that it was the republican senate and the republican Senate majority leader specifically that wrote that into the bill. This wasn't even one of the things the Dems negotiated in..... so what a stupid thing to say.

It's funny, how many times have you told us how much you make in retirement income and it was well above the limits to receive the $1200 checks ($75k per person). And that would be before you even added in all your investment income from your millions in the bank and investments from all your claims, like the double up bug. So for years you have been saying one thing and now all of the sudden you are eligible for the stimulus check. Typical Singer, caught in his own web.

I hope you do get the checks Rob as well as some sort of bump in food stamps, because despite all your claims, I suspect you can use the money. Maybe if you get the checks, you could even be a sport and kick in a few bucks to your daughter towards the electricity and internet that you steal.

Always looking for a way to prove others wrong KJ. With no clue of Rob’s finances, I would assume much of it is RETIREMENT accounts that he changed into Roth IRA’s. They are not taxable and would not contribute to his income. As for the rest of his assets, how many of them do you think create taxable income.

If he had $5 million in cash holdings in such as CD’s, they would have generated around $75k at the top rates available. Add in a wife and he could earn $150k a year and still qualify for the full stimulus. Smart retirees have good accountants to limit their taxable income legally.

Again no clue how Rob manages his investments but if he has a good accountant, the numbers seem fine and certainly don’t show he is broke and on Food Stamps.

Sometimes you let your hatred overcome common sense.

Boz, I don't have a hatred for anyone and that includes the person posting as Rob Singer. I hate the nasty hurtful things he says to many but I don't hate the person.

I have no idea what Robs finances are, and can only go by what he has told us. I am not going to go back and find it but he has claimed to receive the top social security amount and a significant pension and that his wife also received top SS and a substantial pension that would disqualify them from these stimulus checks. Now all of the sudden, as frequently occurs with Rob, that has changed his story to his benefit.

I really don't care what Rob's finances are. I hope he had a high paying job and now has significant retirement income as he sometimes claims. And that would explain why he was able to gamble, negative EV, losing gambling and be comfortable losing that money. That is actually what I suspect. Nothing wrong with that. That was basically Alans story after retirement and I never faulted him for that. If you have a good retirement money and can afford to play -EV and lose and you find that enjoyable...power to you. I just don't like Rob's ever changing storylines.

And BTW Boz, I can already see Rob working on his next claim. He is going to claim that he applied for the business loan part of the relief aid package, as a professional gambler. He has already laid the groundwork saying "any smart gambler would figure a way around this". Maybe I am cursed in that I can see what this guy is scheming while he is still scheming.

  13. #13
There's no "changing storylines" kew--you re-arrange everything to fit your twisted narratives. Just like Don Lemon. Wife and I both earn close to $5k/mo. each in SS + Pensions, and we're very smart with our retirement accounts. There's a number of personal things going on with them, which a low-level day-to-day hustler like you would never comprehend. And you never will, as most "children of Obama" never would.

Only problem with that kew: I haven't been a professional gambler since 2009.

Do you ever get anything right

And you weren't EVEN then. You were a recreational losing gambler. But you are scheming it. That's why you said "figure a way around it".

Here is the thing Rob: your trolling, which I guess as a bitter old man with nothing else to do, is your entertainment. It is all you have left in life to make yourself relevant. But you piss so many people off, people long before I came along, people like Arci and many more before him I am sure, that knowing your real name, people look you up. Arci did. I did. I think Max Pen did. I don't know about Redietz. Probably some others.

THREE dollars! That is what it costs to find out who you really are and put your story together and confirm that your story is not what you claim. $3! lol. Ya know what is included in that report? estimated net worth. Yeah it is an estimate. They don't have it down to the dollar. But they are not off by millions, which they would have to be. Not one thing from your reports meshes with your "stories" Rob. I know it. You know it. I suspect most people on this and every forum you have ever been on know it. Some people want to back you for whatever unrelated reason, but everyone knows the truth. It's just a game you are playing. You aren't fooling anyone.

Apparently, SOMEBODY definitely really cared what Rob's finances were. According to all the stuff that's been posted on here, that seems very very apparent. From what I can remember everything except his 9" cock has been "confirmed".

kewlJ must be feeling better after he just beat the Chink Virus and Heart Failure/Surgery??
Perhaps it is all that MendleBread he has been eating from Hitlers Recipe!?
I was reading something awhile back that kewlJ actually faked his own death on these boards lol???
Beat death twice now it appears!!

I am feeling ok Monet. Just a bit fatigued today. I keep falling a sleep in the recliner when watching TV. That and a slight fever is all I have left. I am sorry your prayers for my demise weren't answered.

Also I have survived 2 different heart surgeries, once in 2011 and again in 2017, so get it right. So never thought I was going to die either time and certainly didn't from this little virus. A bit of uncertainty at the most. But then again, I am healthy. You take someone like Rob who is ancient or yourself at 400 lbs, probably diabetic with heart issues and you could be a goner. So I will pray that you don't get it.

You have to be Don Lemon!

Here's da thang kew: are you so inexperienced in how the world works that you believe retirement accounts are part of whatever you get for 3 bucks!

You also continually don't want it to be that I was a professional gambler and filed as one for ten years. But you certainly go thru all types of gyrations trying to convince everybody of the lie that YOU are one....when you're nothing more than a waiter.

Most, however, prefer to see your explanations of how you, mommy and baby bro were forced out of that house you lived in once the sugar daddy croaked. Go ahead, splain it.

I also know you go out of your mind when others praise Trump. Most crossed-wired poo poo's do!
