For some reason the Virus infects everything but the food supply and to go orders.
People are so worried they have to have the grocery store pack up boxes of food for them while they where masks and gloves.
Some of these same people head next door to McDonalds where the virus doesn't survive for some reason.
Yes. Also it doesn't seem to infect mail.
I don’t know if you guys or joking or serious, but I thought I’d add my two cents worth for what’s it worth.
Even though the virus can exist on various items for as long as 17 days, they (meaning the “experts”...and when I say “experts”, I don’t mean the goofballs they have on CNN or CNBC) know the main mode of transmission of this virus is from one person to another through the air. It happens mostly through coughing, but singing or talking aggressively can also produce a lot of the airborne virus.
Thus, the reason almost everybody got the virus in that famous church choir practice up in Washington last month, even though they didn’t hug each other or touch anything during the choir practice. They only sang for 2 hours. They thought they were being safe, but they didn’t know the main mode of transmission is through the air. After singing for 2 hours, I expect one infected person could easily infect that whole room. Nobody was sick at the time of the choir practice.
The best example I know showing the virus, for the most part, is difficult to transmit through infected food workers is our good ‘ol Diamond Princess example. All the people who cooked and prepared the food during the 30 day quarantine were infected with the virus, except one or two. And still 83% of the people on the ship never contacted the virus. They think most the people that got it, got it before the ship was quarantined.
While I’m not a fan of the lockdown and social isolation, I understand why they are doing it. They know people being within 6 feet of each other is the main mode of transmission of this virus (or any virus like it, which includes the flu viruses).
It’s very difficult to get it by just touching a surface that has the virus, or through infected food workers. I’m not saying I’m an expert on this, but I have read a lot and I’m understanding better why social distancing is so important in stopping its spread.
You should be good getting your food at any take out place, as long as the person who takes your money doesn’t cough on you. Lol
