Kind of funny, on another forum, a blackjack forum, just 2 nights ago, I put someone on ignore. It was Zengrifter. As a longterm member of the BJ community and forums, you probably are familiar with Zengrifter. He wasn't attacking me, but his whole existence is to troll and stir the pot. You just get tired of it. So yesterday when I logged on, I noticed that I couldn't see his posts as you would expect. As I began reading, I noticed that I also couldn't seen, where people had quoted him. I thought wow that's great! That is not the way most sites do the ignore.

But then as you read further, there are people quoting something he said (which you don't see) and responding to that quote (that you don't see) and it sort of makes their response kind of confusing or seem out of place. So I guess there is no real good way to do it.

It's a shame people have to be so damn disruptive that anyone would consider putting them on ignore. I am fine with reading things I don't agree with and even criticism of me or things I have said. But when a person's only intent is to be as big as dick as they can....like I said its a shame. What kind of grown adults do that?...wakes up as says I want to be as disruptive as possible and make everyone as miserable as I am? That is a really small person.

Kj, I disagree with you. I’ve learned some things about gambling and blackjack from zengrifter on that forum. I thought his comments on counter’s basic strategy was an excellent discussion. He held his own debating Don on this topic. Zengrifter’s interview that he has posted a couple times is good too.

I think it was like 2 days after I returned home from my surgery and I was on some pretty good meds. That is not an excuse. I said some of those things. I think I also apologized later. He held his own debating Don on this topic. Zengrifter’s interview that he has posted a couple times is good too.

Look I play CBS and agree 100% about the benefits of doing so. BUT THAT is not the point. Zengrifter's main purpose in life is to stir the pot, just like many here. And I am not going to further discuss it here on a forum he is not at.

See that is the problem. These forums now have all evolved into the fight club forums that were before my time in the gambling /AP/Blackjack community. And the discord is at the very top of that. That is precisely why I stopped participating there.

When I started with the forums, only 12 years ago or so, sure there was a little snipping, a little conflict of personalities. That is bound to accur when you get a large group of personalities together. But despite that, the majority of the forum was about sharing experiences and information that could help and benefit each other. And I am grateful I got in at THAT time, because I benefited to a great extent. I mean that is where I learned most of what I know now and am able to apply to making a living.

Now-a-days it isn't like that. No one is sharing anything useful on any of these sites and it is all about egos. Everything and I mean everything dissolves into a pissing contest and guys like you think it is a debate competition. You give yourself points for getting a jab in at someone rather than trying to contribute something useful that might be beneficial to someone else. I consider my foe, my adversary, the casino industry, that I play against, make my living against and does everything in their power to stop me. Not some other AP, also trying to make a living that I can get a shot or jab in at.

Kj, I respectfully disagree with you. Most the commets you’ve made around blackjack, I’ve agreed with, and I’ve learned from you. The only one you could maybe say I’ve poked fun of is you counting multiple tables. And you’re way to sensitive about that subject. I have counted two tables before so I know it can be done, but I haven’t done it often.

The debate I had with zengrifter on a discord channel was on tipping. I’ve noticed this is a hot button subject with a lot of APs. And that’s one area I’m not backing down. I’m a tipper. I tip dealers, waitresses, etc, you name it, I tip them. I know that is part of their livelihood, tips, and I also feel I am the one playing the game the wrong way. That’s probably why I like MDawg, he’s a tipper too.

Let’s be honest here. The purpose of casinos are as an entertainment and the majority of people have to play in a negative EV way, otherwise casinos would not exist. I know I’m not doing that, so I do feel a little guilty when I extract money from my local casinos. I don’t feel the same way when I go to a larger casino in a town I don’t live close too. Call me inconsistent if you want too, but that’s how I feel.

All the other debates we’ve had here are on politics or religion, which has nothing to do with gambling or APing and you don’t need to participate. Those topics are allowed here and some people like to debate/discuss them. Everybody’s entitled to their opinion and it’s nice to have a place where we can express our views, because you certainly can’t do it at work or anywhere else. It’s called therapy. Lol.

Kj, you do seem like a pretty good guy, but you do need to loosen up and not let things get to you the way they do. Zengrifter has not done anything wrong on that other site...I see it as you, Don, counting is fun, and forme21 picking on him. It’s kind a like lords of the fly. You are either mistaken or misinterpreted what I said. I specifically said, even before the poll, that we knew MDawg would get at least several votes, because we knew that you and blackhole would vote yes. The person I call out as really being dishonest was Rob, who basically said he voted the opposite because he thought that would irk me.

Now I did say something along the lines that I thought your argument wasn't sincere. And I believe that. I think I said you were too smart to really believe that. I truly believe that. And not just about you, but about several people on this forum dating back to Alan. I think some of you guys make arguments and statements that you really don't believe deep down, you make them to oppose AP's in general, or someone specific, like Mickeycrimm.

I'll be specific: I don't believe you honestly believe Rob Singer was able to win hundreds of thousands of dollars (he used to say millions before he changed his claim) playing -EV video poker, and using progressive wagering (which can't change the longterm outcome) and "special plays". (special plays translates to less optimal plays). I refuse to believe that you believe that. I think you argue it to argue. Unfortunately, not to pick on anyone, I think slingshot (and others that read and or lurk) might believe it. That is what concerns me. But I don't believe you and a few others really believe that and your arguing and supporting only tends to embolden him further. And yeah, that dishonesty pisses me off.

I don't care about that. We all have things or done things in the past that we regret. I don't hold that against him. It has nothing to do with blackjack or blackjack discussions. But I will tell you what I DO hold against him and that is his forum the zenzone. The forum has 1 active member, spewing hate and lies. It so happens this person has stalked me to a level involving law enforcement involvement several different times now, including a trespass charge for showing up at my home and attempting to get into the building. I mean this is not forum feuding, name-calling stuff. This is a whole different level. When you or anyone else gets to this level with someone stalking them, then you tell me I am over-reacting. There are some really sick people out there and this guy is one of them, and I resent someone like Zengrifter, who claims to be a member of the blackjack community to provide a platform for this shit. Again there is freaking 1 single person on that forum.

Yes, I do know that. I’ve read quite a few articles related to it and Zengrifter’s comments on it. Look I’m not God, so I don’t know what happened, so I’m not going to judge him. Heaven knows i haven’t done everything right in life, so who am I too judge.

I think there’s some verse in the Bible where it says the person who hasn’t sinned should throw the first stone... so I guess that means nobody should be throwing any stones or judging others.

It sounds like Zengrifter has paid his debt to society, so it should be time for everybody to move on, and stop bringin this up. And isn’t that the part of the Easter message. To forgive and not judge people. Happy Easter!

If you look at the photos MDawg posted of the shoes he played, and his explanation of how he played them, then there is no math to prove that he could not have won for those shoes.

The photos and explanations are not proof that he played those shoes, but it is certainly not outrageous to claim to have played them, especially in light of the corroborating documents.

Look, I haven't read all of MDawgs claims at WoV. I do believe he is the high stakes player that he claims. It is a little unusual for such a high stakes player to seek the attention that he seems to crave on multiple forum. I mean he is even on gamblingforums. Most people of that kind of means don't need or seek that kind of adulations. But whatever. I also do believe that his most recent trip that he posted about here may have gone exactly as he claimed.

BUT when you start talking 8 trips of many, many days play, or 40 sessions, or whatever longer term he is speaking, no I don't believe he has achieved the results that he claims. NOT unless there is something he is not telling us and I have asked a couple dozen times now.

Possible? sure, I concede possible. Just like I will concede it is technically possible someone could be hit by lightning 27 times and live to tell about it. But that doesn't mean I will believe the guy that is claiming that. If you, well not you, but anyone is going to claim to defy the math and probabilities, I want to see something, other than your word.
