Thread: How did YOU first find out about the Coronavirus/Covid-19?

  1. #1
For me, it was from this very website. Rob Singer had said around early February, something like,"Minimum wage Employees are preparing food for buffets with their Coronavirus affected hands! Enjoy your Coronavirus laced food!" At the time I had never heard of the Coronavirus and thought he meant The Noravirus, which is bad enough. Soon after that, I saw that Coronavirus was trending on Google and I looked into it and it is way worse than The Noravirus. But before Rob Singer had mentioned Coronavirus, I remembered a Customer buying like 10 packs of masks like a week before. I remember thinking,"Uh, this is so WEIRD. Why is someone buying 10 packs of masks? Who needs 10 packs of masks?" Keep in mind that at the time I had no idea what Coronavirus was at this time. After I knew about it, the Customer panic buying 10 packs of masks made sense.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

Smart is knowing a Tomato is a fruit.

Wise is knowing a Tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

Tasha, I just wanted you to know I thought this was an excellent post. I’m surprised it hasn’t got traction. Maybe this bump will give it the boost it needs to get going.

As for me, I heard about it first on the internet back in December. I also have some Chinese friends, and that’s all they talked about, and this was back in the December/January timeframe. I thought they were making a bigger deal out of it then they should, but I now see they were ahead of the curve.

This thread is ass, even by Tasha standards. I would say it should be in the whatever’s on your mind subforum, but it should be in stupid threads that should never have been started.

I tried Tasha, but it doesn’t look like this is going anywhere. We couldn’t even get Kj to bite on it.

With this said, I thought you brought up an interesting - and new - angle to the coronavirus discussion. Instead of asking how bad is it, are we doing the right thing, what are the cures, when should we open back up our country, yada, yada yada... You brought up the “how did you find out about it” question. I don’t know what relevance this is, but it’s an interesting angle. Thanks for trying.

I was at the barbershop getting a mustache wax and reading your thread “What is your favorite YouTube comment” when I found out.
