Thread: Bally's Atlantic City sells, will no longer be part of Total Rewards

Caesars sold Bally's AC, El Dorado sold Montbleu Tahoe and El Dorado Shreveport.

These were all sold so they could get approval for their merger, as they would be considered dominant in these three markets otherwise. A company called Twin River bought them, which owns some other casinos in the eastern US.

Unlike other "sales" of Caesars properties which were just real estate transactions, this one impacts customers, as Bally's will no longer be part of Total Rewards (Caesars Rewards), and will now be different ownership than the connect Wild Wild West casino.

Twin Rivers owns Dover Downs, which is a nice casino with good games and decent RTP. Could be a good thing.

    They comp really well too.

I got so sick and tired Bally's, born and raised AC citizen here, but damn that casino was bad as hell. To be honest, I only enjoy online casinos in NJ nowadays, won more than in the real ones that's for sure

Twin River Worldwide Holdings bought the brand "Bally's" for $20 million, less than a year after purchasing Bally's Atlantic City and two other hotels from the company, for a total of $180 million.

As part of the deal, Caesars gets to continue using the Bally's brand in Las Vegas for their hotel there. Twin River currently owns and operates Bally's AC at this point, and it's no longer a Caesars property.

Twin River said it will rebrand nearly all of its properties "Bally's", even though this might confuse people into believing these are Caesars properties, which they will not be.

Twin River currently owns 13 casinos, but only the Hard Rock in Biloxi is a well known brand.

They've also changed their name to "Bally's Corporation", and they operate the following casinos:

    Arapahoe Park — Aurora, Colorado
Bally's Atlantic City — Atlantic City, New Jersey
Casino KC — Kansas City, Missouri
    Casino Vicksburg — Vicksburg, Mississippi
Dover Downs Hotel & Casino — Dover, Delaware
Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport — Shreveport, Louisiana
Golden Gates Casino — Black Hawk, Colorado
Golden Gulch Casino — Black Hawk, Colorado
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi — Biloxi, Mississippi
Mardi Gras Casino — Black Hawk, Colorado
Tiverton Casino Hotel — Tiverton, Rhode Island
Twin River Casino Hotel — Lincoln, Rhode Island
