How did you do with your scooping up the freebies and not playing?

Friday night, to stay out of the casino, I went on a stroll up and down the Strip to check out some of the high limit areas to check video poker odds and to see what the restrooms were like in the high limit areas of various casinos. There is a section here on the site with the best high limit restrooms that the general public can use. After a long walk and going in and out of various casinos to "research" the subjects, I finally got exhausted at Wynn and took a seat in a video poker area to rest....

There I found myself staring at 25-cent triple double bonus game. My favorite game... and at only 25-cents!! So, here's where I broke down: I put a $20 bill in and pushed the deal button.

On the deal: quad jacks for 250 quarters. I pressed the button a second time: quad kings. I pressed the button a third time: quad queens.

Why do I have such luck playing a 25-cent game and not a higher denomination?

I played a few more hands which were losers... then was dealt four to the royal which missed... and I cashed out.

By the way, I do not have a Wynn players card, and I wonder if I would have hit like that had I used one.

So, for the record, I played. Maybe next time I'll be able to go without making a bet.

I've been monitoring some of the Internet talk about the Octavius tower and most of the comments seem to be about the long walk from the check-in to the Octavius. Yes, it's a schlepp. And if you're the kind of person who likes to go back and forth to their room several times a day before dinner, and back and forth several times after dinner, you will get your workout.

I think with warm weather coming the Octavius will be very convenient for those going to the pools at Caesars. The Palace tower is also a great location for pool goers.
