Sin City Brewing with 4 locations along the strip announced last night they were not reopening and are done due to the forced closure in March.

As some of you know I am close with some in the company and considered buying it a few years ago. The numbers didn’t make sense because they really only owned some expensive leases and a Kickass logo trademark.

But this shows the real life consequences of the lockdown. I know some will say no one died so it really doesn’t matter what happened to them. But 20+ people are out of good jobs and one of the most customer friendly places on the strip with 4 locations is gone. Also the brewery that contracted their beer (Lovelady) in Henderson lost volume which will probably translate into lost jobs.

This also creates more empty property on the strip because of a lack of willingness from large corporations to work with lease holders while closed. On Harmon Corner you now have the former Twin Peaks property empty along with Sin City. While someone may eventually fill the 2 spaces, look how long it took to fill the former Harley Davidson cafe just across the street. They also closed the property outside Bally’s which was already a wasteland.

Just like with the deaths, America moves on. But the CV business casualties will be coming for years.

RIP Sin City Brewing, the memories will always be there.
