Wizard outting AP plays.

Wizard writes reviews of different games and bets available on different game. And continuing to do so, I believe was part of his agreement to continue on after the sale. What I don't understand is why he needs to out advantage plays when doing this, which he frequently does.

Nothing good can come of that. You aren't helping "gamblers" if that play will be pulled because you have alerted the game makers and casino industry to these vulnerabilities. They have people in their employ that are supposed to find such vulnerabilities. It shouldn't be Wizard doing that for them and for free. It it just an ego thing that Mike does this.... "hey look what I found that no one elese has yet".

Today mike exposed a vulnerability to an electronic game he saw at G2E, that hasn't even hit the casino floor yet. So they can now change it before it ever goes public.

I don't play baccarat so there was little chance I would have discovered this and played it unless someone directly lead me to it, but I just don't get this. Why does Shackleford do this? There are times I think he is actually out to sabatoge APs.

I am not trying to attack Mike here or piss off his friends, that I speak with on forums. But it is really hard for me to see these actions as "neutral", MrV.

If he was actually working for a casino (or consulting) that would be one thing. At least he would be being paid for his actions. But it doesn't appear to be the case in this or most of these incidents. It does appear he just wants to say "hey look what I found" and especially if he has no intention of playing what he has found.

Full discloure: I remain a little biased about this because Wizard did this with a play (a side bet) my brother and I were playing in Colorado a few years back. For no apparent reason he all of the sudden announced this play, how to beat it and what it was worth. Almost immediately the casinos involved cut the amount players could wager on this side bet to 25% of what it was. There was still an advantage but not enough for me to continue to wander around Colorado sleeping in motels to play it. My brother stayed on playing it until they finally pulled the plug entirely a few weeks later.

But I just get the feeling that this Colorado play, probably the play he revealed today that isn't even on the casino floor yet and several others that he has revealed are situations where Mike decides he is not interested in playing that, so it is like "fuck those that are". The Plaza VP promotion was another. He revealed that when he decided he wasn't interested in participating, like the day before the promotion.

He runs a forum populated by some AP's. He has personal friends that are APs. And yet, he does this shit. I just don't get the guy. And I do like him. I just don't get him.

Why would UnKewlJ object to the Wizard's researching and talking about plays Wizard does not do himself? UNKewlJ has done that sort of thing the entire time he's been visible on the 'net!

It makes almost no difference to people to non-APs and only makes APs stronger. To be a successful AP, metaphorically you must do 10 things right and only 9 means failure. Just because someone has a recipe for Blueberry bread doesn't mean we won't choke eating it and spit it out. It's one thing you learn as an AP, others are so inferior to you, they will most likely fail under pressure.

This is true for a lot of the more complicated AP. For example if you gave someone step by step extremely detailed instructions on exactly how to M.C. most people either still wouldn’t understand it or would understand it but be too lazy to actually do it.

On the other hand telling someone how to play bubble games, many will understand it, many would do it, although I still think a significant percentage of people still wouldn’t understand it, or would be too lazy to do it.

The only reason kew complains about this is because he has an ongoing hard-on about Shack, and because he's been banned, humiliated, & rendered totally irrelevant by the guy.

This is also another of kew's weak attempts at trying to make believe he's never been caught spewing tons of lies around here, and instead it's simply business as usual. And who else falsely claims they play bj for a living, keeps blabbing about his meaningless baby bro, and wastes time staying up all night thinking up dumb posts just so they can try and take the focus off of being a proven fraud?

There was some discussion on GWAE about Wiz outing plays. They pretty much thought that the cat is out of the bag so Wiz may as well do his thing.

I get that Mike writes reviews of new games and side bets. I would even be ok, with him vaguely hinting at some way to beat it. But nothing good can come from when he spells it out step by step.

I go back to and am still holding a bit of a grudge about the Colorado blackjack play he outed that my brother and I were working. Mike's wording was something like "I waited a couple weeks because players were playing this, but now....." And boom, almost immediately the amount you could bet on the side bet was reduced 75%, making it not worth the effort for most of us.

And then there was the Plaza VP promotion. I wasn't going to play it so it didn't affect me. But the day before the promotion, Mike decided he wouldn't bother with it and posted step by step how to play it to earn $100+ an hour. And guess what? The top machines were pulled from the promotion.

It just feels like if he decides he isn't going to play something he says "fuck you to those that are". I think that is small of him.

IF Mdawg was doing something to play with an advantage, and not the stupid "bet into streaks" and "win because of a large bankroll", it would make sense that over time, losses are recovered and you go on to even higher totals.

THAT is the way advantage play and variance works. But this guy, every single time he reports a loss (which is rare), he immediately offsets it with a bigger win within 1or 2 days. THAT is NOT the way variance works. But it does make for a funny story.
