Just a report about the Las Vegas Blvd for those coming to or in Vegas.
I wasn't trying to shock or entertain you or anyone else.
This forum is still about Vegas and what is going on in Vegas.
Sorry we don't have bodies all over the place.
If you were here in the 70s and 80s you seen that on the news daily as they were either in the desert or bloody in their cars.

I was mainly kidding. Don't go too nancy on me.

Vegas would never let that go on for 4 months. Can you imagine casinos executives letting one of their neighbors on the strip (or downtown) have a corpse hanging out exposed to the elements for MONTHS?!? The Segway tour operators talk about it.

I once visited New Orleans a few years after the big flood. It was kinda crazy. They still had the spray-painted marks on the houses in the ghetto to denote they'd been cleared of bodies. People too poor to paint over it.
It is official. Redietz will never be on Dan Druff's podcast. "too much integrity"

The Strip is under tremendous construction from Downtown to Spring Mountain. The worst I have ever seen it. Some of that construction has been going on since they tore down the Riviera. I thought it might be fun to drive up the Strip for a change but I was kinda wrong. I did hit most green lights so was unable to take many pictures but when I got up near the Wynn I got to snap a few. I got to see what the new Stardust might look like and downtown the new Las Vegas Club is coming together. Anyways, my point is if you are in Vegas it might be best to avoid the Strip even more so than in years past. These three pictures that I uploaded don't show the severity of the construction. I guess, since the world is hiding from the public, at this time, it is a good time to repair and rebuild. They seem to have the cranes out everywhere you look.

I used the restroom at Harrahs but didn't check any stalls for queerJ's advertisements. I was actually a bit disoriented as I haven't been in Harrah's very much since the remodel and it was kinda confusing to me because everything felt the same but looked wrong. Most of the machines and tables were in the proper areas and order but the carpet, paint and remodels didn't add up to my memories from decades past. Lastly, they had a security guard in the back entrance checking temperatures but it was only set up for those checking into the hotel. It appears that if you are heading to the Casino you don't have to get temperature checked. I didn't check very closely at the Strip Entrances but it didn't look like they had anyone or any checkpoint set up. I walked into a few Casinos downtown where they had checkpoints as well but nobody working the station at around 3 or 4 am. I found that humorous.

I seen people enjoying coffee and breakfast with no masks on and sitting relatively close to each other. I guess the virus doesn't get you when you eat or drink but when you gamble it is very contagious as you are supposed to mask up. Boyd Gaming had a message that they are going to crack down more after June 25th but seemed kinda lax to me early in the morning as I had mine off most of the time playing machines. Sounds like Nazism to me. I would like to thank mcap for forcing me to post about Vegas in the Vegas Forum and I would hope this entertains tableplay a bit as it is Vegas related even though not exactly gambling related.
Yes, it did entertain me - great post. Next thing you know they will put up a new The Mint ;-).

Interesting you should say that. When I was downtown I parked at the Cal because it's easier to get in and out for me. The other option is to park at the 4 Queens but I wasn't looking to play/scout that Casino. I didn't want to get check-pointed at the Cal so I walked down the stairwell to the sidewalk onto the side-streets. When I came to Casino Center and turned towards the Horseshoe I noticed the Hotel Apache Indian in Full Neon all lit up! I had to chuckle as the Redskins just decided to change their name and I am sure many other teams will follow suit. Now they have to protest bringing back the Hotel Apache at Binions! As you suggested, might as well change it to The Mint. Of course I say that Binions should protest to be able to use the Horseshoe name as, for some of us, it will always be The Horseshoe or if you're really cool, just: The Shoe.

    Has anybody seen Jerkie Gaughan?

Yes, he's up at Bunyun's Horseshoe.
