Thread: Watch this video: Be careful about claims about “slot machines”

Be careful about people who make ridiculous claims about slot machines in “regulated” casinos.

I am not a slot expert but I have worked with gaming companies designing “slot machines” so I am more knowledgeable than the average person. I have taken a patent to a prototype device demoed at G2E to the finalized products on the casino floor so I learned a few things or two. That is why my network / group focuses on game design exploits, e.g. poor game design choices or comprised decisions were made. [1]

In this YouTube video, the person clearly expressed that the slot machine industry is highly regulated. Focus on 0:35 to 0:51 of the video. I will paraphrase the speaker: (1) we had to submit the source code and (2) tool chains so the regulators could build the slot machine from scratch (for testing purposes). [2]

Lots of dumb people including village idiots will make unproven claims about slot machines being over 100%. I know one (unnamed) state that does not allow for 100%+ slot machine “off the top”. So if that 5 for 2 Class III video BJ is in this state, the gaming company asserted (to the state regulators) the VBJ has a RTP less than 100% (a point lost on Mickey Crimm).

Once you’ve worked on the design end, it’s very easy to spot moronic comments. Propagation poker is probably the most moronic comment regarding draw poker that I’ve read in 20+ year.

    Good luck.

[1] I recently sent videos via PMs of a milestone based bonus game; the first video showed the game being demo’ed at G2E and the second video showed the final product; the final product was an improvement on the prototype and the designers clearly worked on some aspects of the game to make it more fun and at the same time more difficult for scavengers.

[2] Does anyone believe Mickey Crimm can write source code (for a slot machine)? In contrast, I have created algorithms that became source code for my “slot machines”.

First of all you've avoided explaining to all of us why tracking the 1X separately from the regular spins on Buffalo Diamonds is the way it should be done. What's the matter? You don't have an explanation? It should be an easy explanation for a rocket scientist like you. But your silence on the issue is golden.

Now, the state you are talking about is Mississippi. They have the regulation of no 100%+ games. But guess what, nimrod. That doesn't mean that they haven't been there. There was a $5 3-coin 9/6 Jacks with a 20K royal there for years, 101%. Little known until it hit Stanford Wong's Green Chip site which got the play squashed.

I seen the mechanics working on the IGT Game Kings many times while I was playing BJ on the machine next to them. I seen the theoretical payback screen many times. IGT had the full pay blackjack game listed as 99.5%, clearly a mistake.

So do you think that Mississippi tests every game for payback percentage? Are they equipped to do it? Or do they just take the word of the manufacturer?

Even if Mississippi did test would they know about the two glitches in the game and include them in the analysis? I don't think so.

Your inferiority complex keeps shining through with your comments. You are right about one thing though. I don't know how to write code. But its not necessary in my business of beating casinos out of their money.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

The Copa in Gulfport for years had 100.76% FPDW all the way up to dollars.

I believe the 100.28% version of OEJ was available in Minnesota despite that state's gaming regs (grandfathered in IIRC).

Yes that's right JBJB. Also I remember reading some posts on the videopoker.com forum about FPOEJ getting played some years ago (but when the sub 100% Minnesota regulations were in place) in Welch at Treasure Island Resort & Casino.

The unnamed state didn’t have FPDW that I played in Reno. Nice game with the RF was a progressive.

Prove it cunt. And afterwards you can explain why you didn't mention the other version in your original post since you are always stressing the importance of knowing different versions of a game. But first you have to prove it dumbfuck.
